hi guys, I couldn't really find the answer in the F series forums. Can you elaborate on the BT200? Is it the CD-BTB200?? Or the AS-BT200? I have the Avic-Z1...and would love to get bluetooth streaming to work!

to ground the Parking brake and Cell Mute wires, can this go into any ground? There seems to be lots of different grounds. Im looking at tapping into PIN5 of the Connector 2. That seems to be ground too. Is this the correct method?

I had the same problem with this Zooquest person. Supposedly, she's been reported to eBay..thats why her eBay account now has no items.

It's not that I can't get into MHDD. I can get in it, that's how I can find out the EID and such. That's not the issue. It's when I'm disabling security, it says that it's writing to the drive, then "device error"

I guess I can give that a try... Since the EID still says "Security=high, OFF", I assume the security is still on.

Yea..I believe I meet all the requirements. I dunno if the drive is damaged, because it recognizes that it's a Toshiba hard drive and has all the specs show up when I "EID" in MHDD. Does it make a difference if I'm booting from a CD or floppy? because I been booting from Bootmagic, the CD. edit: I never inserted the drive into a Z1. Also, I don't believe it's locked since the EID tells me that security is HIGH, Off.

I've tried to disable the security on 3 computers now... Packard Bell old old computer Dell my own built computer with AMD processor. no luck

Hi guys, so I'm trying to disable the security on a new Toshiba MK4026GAX drive, but when it tries to disable, it says "Device Error". I turn Security off, then it writes the checksum, then writings changes to the drive, then I get "Device error" Anyone have any experience? Did my drive somehow get locked? Please helppppp!

hi, thanks for the reply. I looked in there already. One person that had the Tytn said it didn't work, but a few others with the 8525 for Cingular said it worked... but that was for the Z2. Any differences in the interface between Z1 and Z2?

so...from reading all these threads. If you bought a new Toshiba hd, get the 2.5-3.5" adapter, flash the Z2 image onto the drive and it should work? What's this about security and how do I unlock the drive? Does Step 4 apply if you're starting with a fresh hard drive?

Hi guys, I'm new to the boards. Just got a Avic-Z1 from Circuit City for $509 without box or harnesses. I'm probably gonna get the bluetooth module ND-BT1 soon. Anyone know if this will work with the HTC Mogul (PPC-6800)? I'd like to know if it works...before I dish out money for the bluetooth module. Thanks! See you guys around!
