  1. Going back on topic here, I emailed Pioneer and asked about how they plan to send out updates and such. Here is the reply I got from "Pablo": BUT of course he did not indicate a date...
  2. I read the Crutchfield review and noticed that there is no XM satellite module for the unit. You can buy the external and use the AUX INPUT, but its nice to have everything controlled by the head unit.
  3. Just infront, but as HiFiSi said, I think we are getting off topic.
  4. The one I have sounds good too. I don't have a picture but I have mine in the instrument cluster under the speedometer on my tundra.
  5. Anybody have screen shots for the iPod or the satellite radio screens?
  6. I found that out as well. Looks like I may put a CD changer up on Craigslist. Thats a bummer.
  7. Night and Day difference. On the D3 its an EXT option and that has little to no info. On the F Series its integrated on the Radio Screen and is much easier to use. I would show you pictures, but the trucks in the shop. When I get it back in a few weeks I will post a picture if someone doesn't do it first.

Does anyone have any images of screen shots of the XM and SIRIUS screens? I see alot on the web for the main screen, navigation screen and teh iPod screen, but nothing from the satellite radio screens. Thanks.

    WANTED: AVIC-D3

Well that is a good page, but nowhere on Pioneer's page can you actually purchase that through the shopping cart. Also if you navigate away from that page, the links back to it do not exist. I agree with HiFiSi, if you want one, you might check resellers on the internet or ebay and last resort craigslist.
  10. Mine will stay connected, it just only transfers 6 or 8 contacts and none of the other ones.
  11. Mine will stay connected, it just will only move over a small amount of contacts. So it kind of sucks. On my d3, I had no problems whatsoever.
  12. Yeah, I saw that too and fell for it.
  13. Anyone else have one of these? When I transfer the phonebook it only sends over 6 of the 80 contacts I have. I have tried it four times and the same results. Funny thing is, its the same 6 contacts each time. Help?
  14. Could be KA, the letters are small and they kind of look like an xa.
  15. I found only one problem with installing under my dash, and that is now my radar detector senses an xa band radar signal. Its very week, but only happens when the GPS antenna is in such close proxiemity to the radar detector. I like the clean install of having the antenna under the dash, so perhaps I am going to upgrade my radar detector since its 8 years old.
  16. I cannot confirm, but I did notice that there is no infrared receiving port like there is on the D3.
  17. I too tested this and mine will boot up in 4 minutes with 17,000 songs. Its a bit annoying since I have to reach over into the glovebox and make sure its un-connected from that last power off. I found that if you don't care about the VR, then shut it off and use it like on the D3, then boot time is about 2 minutes for the whole deck.
  18. I figured it out. Under -> Options -> Bluetooth. You need to be connected and then an option shows up to transfer phonebook.
  19. Dont forget the F90BT has the 4v Pre-outs and the F900BT doesn't. The F90BT is also in their Premier line-up.
  20. At least they gave me a case number for when I call them back.
  21. I didn't want to pollute an already in progress topic, so I did a new one. Here is the dilemma, I have the F900BT and the bluetooth works with a little static, OK maybe a little more than a little. Now I want to transfer my phonebook from my BB Curve 8310 and for the life of me I can't figure how to send them. The F900BT sits and waits for the transfer, but I can't figure out how to initiate a transfer from my phone to my radio. Anyone out there with the 8310 who has done this? Thanks.
  22. I ended up installing it on top of AVIC-F900BT and I get really good reception, better than my D3 with the antenna on the roof of my truck.
  23. Here is a reply I received today when I questioned the units via email to their navigation department: Perhaps I will get a further response from engineering...
  24. Nope... It doesn't see the multi-CD changer.
  25. I will try it out tomorrow and let ya know. If that is the case, that would be cool.
