  1. I have a Z1 - with a CD that does not Read. Seems like it should be good for parts. Gary
  2. So I was having an issue with my AVIC-Z1 in my 4Runr I have had the unit 5 years now. Just last week my CD quit reading disks of any type. So took it back to the local shop. Looks like I could send it back to Pioneer and get it fixed. But like a good salesman they showed me the AVIC-F120BT. So instead of sending it back for repait I have a new Headunit. But now I have an older AVIC-Z1 in the garage. Any idea what the resale value would be? Right now it is without a working Disc Reader? What about if I got it fixed? Any idea on resale value? Or even d
  3. So my Avic-Z1 was having issues locking up frequently. Thought a Upgrade would at least not hurt anything. Tried an update. Was getting a consistent error. Hearing the distinct noise of the Hard Drive clicking. So after talking to Pioneer. And not relishing the removing the whole unit for some unknown time. Thought I would go with a new hard drive. New Hard Drive. Pay Garret Toomey by Pay Pal. 2 days later a new drive with a torx tool arrives. 15 minutes later old drive out, new drive in. AVIC-Z1 updted to the latest maps, and Firmware. System no longer locks up.
