dvd downloaded in mpeg4??i thank, what format does ipod have to have? is there one there that you would recommend? for being easy to use?

just got the 80GB 5.5 gen last week, have 2-3 movies downloaded, having trouble getting video to itunes, does it have to be in a certin format? if so what do i need to convert it and where can i download it

does the learning status on this thing ever change from the basic "simple hybrid"? mine is about 3 months old and i wonder sometimes what it is thinking, ex. going to work which is about 1 hr away from house today and decided to let the D3 get me there, now mind y ou i have went the same way for 10 years, i know the shortest route, I was on the last stritch of road that is about 6 miles country (straight east end of road is work), D3 did good all the way to here, than all of at once it wanted me to turn left (north) and follow that 10 miles and hit a highway take it 6 miles east and than go 1

can you tell which gen it is just by looking on back of ipod, or do you have to fire it up and find a screen in the settings

how can i tell which ipod are the 5.5 gen

my question is the wire marked "vcc", does this wire get wired to a hot when car is running?, The directions that came with camare are very poor,

with this setup the camara will work when car is in reverse,but turn off when backup lights go out (put car into drive) and when i go to rear view option in the HD, if i want to check out my trailer while driving down interstate.......right?

so there is 2 wires for power? i thought that the only power wire was the one from the backup lights so to make sure i understand this right, you have a wire that goes to backup lights also a wire that goes to 12v source that is only activated when the car is running, and a video wire from camara to back of HD, and a ground, total of 4 wires to be hooked up?

i assuming the btb200 and the ipod cable can both be hooked to the d3 at the same time

how do you get the songs to the ipod or mp3 player? do you use a computer and copy cds to the ipod, sounds like a ipod is the way to go, if you cant tell i am new to the ipod/mp3 generation whats the deal with all the different generations of ipods?

if i wire it up using backkup lights and driving down road what happens when you hit the camara button in the menu? if i wire it your way, will not come on when i put vehicle in reverse will it?

im alittle confused, if i connect the camara to my backup lights, i am under the impression that camara will come on when i put vehicle in rev, but what happens if i am going down the road while in navi mode and hit map and than camara will that also turn on camara? if not what is that button for, thanks for any help
