from what i understand, you need the a2dp bluetooth profile to transfer the contacts.... i could be totally wrong though

apple just announced the new 3.0 software update for the iphone that will be available this summer. one of the better features included with this update is going to be the A2DP bluetooth. which hopefully means that we will be able to transfer contacts from our iphones to the head unit! check it out! http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/17/live ... #continued
