Do you think they are tracking where you bought the unit by serial #. Do you think this gonna help them find dealers selling to gray market non dealers? seems like a bit of work to track all those serial #s even if it was just to the big distributors. Never mind that stuff that "falls off of trucks" at the docks.

Please respond with the following info. Where you purchased you AVIC-D3 /D3x When you filed your rebate. I'm curios how long and if people got rebates from online stores or Best Buy etc. Places that were said not to be eligible and stores that were little one store shops.

My boss went to the distributor to get me an 3x package and they said that they can't get them any more. So I'm SOL on that deal. So what is the deal cause they were selling the 3x at the same dealer cost and now its just the AVIC by itself for the same price ? What? And some retail stores are stripping the package and selling each piece seperate. So they are (the store) are getting all the extra stuff for free. My point is, I was told that they added the extra stuff instead of lowering the price. Now I'm told I can't get the 3x Package. Who would buy a D3 alone for the same as a 3x

Dealer cost - selling bluetooth adapter for $100 - rebate = $450 AVH-4000DVD is gonna probably come in at $450 for a low volume dealer. I mainly want one of these for 2 things only Back up camera & USB. I'm really not interested in the DVD /movie crap. I actually LOOK at the road when I'm driving. If navigation was totally out of the question, would you rather have your D3 or get the new model that looks the same but doesn't have Navigation, USB and IPOD capable and only has 2 pair RCA audio outs. It seems like it has less RCA's out the back altogether. I really like the USB, its cheaper and it may be better then adding a CD-UB100 USB adapter to a AVIC-D3. Is the Navigation any good or as good as say a Garmin? I love my Garmin and I want to know if its worth getting this deck. To be honest, I trying to decide if I should get this deck now with the rebate or wait and get the new 4000D witch is similar with out navigation but has USB built in. I did notice that the new one doen't have 3 pairs of RCA audi out just 2 so a totally amp system would have to Y off the front pair. Kinda cheesy. But the retail is around $500

I have the Pioneer 600UB deck with built in USB now. How well does the CD-btb100 work? Can you scroll quickly through the folders? My current deck flies through them. I hit list and just turn the volume dial to scream right down to the one I want. I tried a brand new JVC today and it was painless slow and just made me mad.
