  1. found it. The TIME on the D3 updates itself based on the GPS signal. you must plug in the GPS for the proper time to be displayed. I thought i broke my car this morning. the screen kept getting dim, than bright, Than dim than bright, Than dim than bright. I couldn't figure it out. finally dawned on me. it's responding to the headlights. Dims when the headlights are on, and brightens when they're off! And since i have automatic headlights and today is particularly grey day, they kept switching on and off. I'm finding more and more features of this thing everyday and i'm
  2. maybe turn down the bass? i know i'd rather listen to my D3 on the road than yours
  3. I'll bite. here's just an exterior. 2006 Pontiac Vibe
  4. wasn't an issue. The pin came out very easily. was easier to lift the white plastic tabby part the entire mod litterally took 2 minutes. I'm just having issues with one thing. how do i set the friggin time!!!!! i go into the GPS nav thing and the only thing for time is 1 hour adjustments. this doesn't help much when it's 12:30 and it's showing 12:05.
  5. Thanks twostep. It has worked pretty flawless (except me blowing a fuse cause i was too lazy to disconnect battery) took almost no time (except having to run to the store for electrical tape and another mounting kit cause i brok emy first one) looks great so far. tonights project is wiring the Blutooth receiver and actually putting in the GPS antennae. i was debating asking how to do the mod so i can use it while driving, But the stickies were pretty self evident!
  6. 2nd question then. I know the Yellow wire is the power source (12 constant) as I've used it prior for an Ipod connector and it constant provided power to my ipod even with car off. the D3 came with a cable intended to connect to the battery for this power. Must i use that or is the power source for the factory radio adequate? (would make life that much easier) matching colours also leaves me a solid orange and solid black connector left on the Car's wiring harness (guessing black is ground) is it ok to use this ground instead of the the firewall of the car? and whats the ora
  7. New here I'm attempting to install the D3 into a 2006 pontiac vibe. Before i get started so i don't blow anything up I just want to confirm a couple things if anyone knows. I picked up a wiring harness for the Vibe, From American International GWH-416. It's listed for my vibe. Now the unfortunate part is it doesn't come with any schematics telling me what wire is for what. However the wires are colour coded exactly the same as the D3's wiring harness. I'm always under the assumption that too good a thing never exists. But since i can't find the schematics, does anyone know if this co
