OZ2

Alright so I am installing my Z2 today and have heard of update to the unit, mostly a bluetooth update but what eles must be done...my unit was manufactured August 2007, must it be updated? Also do the maps come preloaded, because my unit didnt come with discs? And last but not least if anyone can help, my Ipod adapter didnt arive yet , what can I use as a cheap substitute to get my ipod playing for now? Thanks to all for any help!

Im looking for a remote control for the AVIC Z2, I already have steering wheel controls, but want something to just switch songs from outside the truck...I know the CD-r5 is supposed to work but its hard to find ...how about the CD R55 or any other remote? Ive seen cheap $10 -15 ones and like I said all I need it for is to switch tracks, not any other option... Any help is appreciated! Thanks

Hello so I did a search and couldnt find nothing big on this, just wondering out of all the bypass ways out there cause Ive seen plenty on ebay, what is the best and easiest to do that wont void your warranty or that you have to solder or do any of modifications for? Like just an upgrade cause Ive seen discs like that. Any help appreciated, my bad if Im not even supposed to post about this.

Does sirius radio work right out the box? Of course with paid membership or do I still have to buy that sirius adapter for it? Im thinking the adapter is just for traffic or am I wrong? This is asking for the Z2

Hello just wondering if anyone can tell me which of the three Ive seen is the best and newest Ipod connector for the Avic Z2? I know there is at least three of them and I know certain ones are for older models or whatever, so which one works best for the z2 out of your guy's experience.? Thanks

So what you are saying is the less expensive simpler looking one is the better one? The one thats just a cable? And by older models were you calling the Z2 an older model? Justwondering,just discovered these units and looking forward to buy one.

Hey real good install, I am installing on a 05 avalanche this week and was wondering about the wheel controls..my chevy already has the steering wheel controls for the stock unit, will I still need a seperate adapter or can I use same wiring? Is that what you did..? Thanks

Just wondering , will the z2 and the ipod control let you play your whole ipod in random mode? Ive heard of the poor lack of search and slow scrolling so I usually play random anyways and will be fine as long as its there? Thanks

I am in the process of buying this unit the Z2 with the bluetooth adapter and would likte to make sure it will work with my current phone the T Mobile Wing which is by HTC I think? Does anyone have experience with this phone or any other Windows Mobil phone> Thanks
