Nope, seems pretty dead now, Software error screen, then Blank. I Think I'll investigate repairs, replacement units in short supply these days.

using the guidance from this message board, I was able to download the AVIC.img file and via MAC command line I belive I got it not an SD card. now the unit open up in the Soft/Firm ware is sideways and then the screen goes blank..... I'm 'hoping' it is rebooting - I'll give it a few hours and see if it comes back.

does any one have a Photo ( or good explanation) of SD card location on AVH-4000NEX? is the 4gb unit just inside the faceplate assembly? I swapped that out and still sideways after power up. But I'm also not sure I loaded the software correctly ( I'm using a MAC ) Thanks in Advance
