so can you use the ipod classic on n4? my 80gb classic will not work but my friends iphone will work and will show videos. i don't understand why the ipone will work and my 80gb classic will not work

i just bought a 80gb classic and when i plug the ipod up a error ao pops up. my old ipod works perfectly fine and my friends iphone and the videos also work? i'm lost
