    Updating?

AHH.. don't know what happened. I am convinced that the Avic D3 has a mind of it's own. That is all Mo

    Updating?

It took forever, seemed like a firmware update or something. The screen was black, and with grey letters and grey bar. Very weird.

    Updating?

Hey guys, I was driving in Atlanta, and my AVIC D3 said do not poweroff, updating. What the heck was it updating? That was weird. Thanks Mo
  4. Oh, and I also remember a time, when I found what I wanted, went up to the cash register, and they said I had to go find another one, because it wouldn't show up when they scanned it. They wanted me to walk all the way to the other side of the store to get another one to see if it would ring up. I refused and I told them, for proper customer service, they should go get it. So they did.. what a bunch of lazy fools. Haha
  5. Yeah, I posted my review on CNET. And I would highly recommend you not get any thing from Circuit City! This has been absoultely one of the worse experiences, and for the amount I am paying. I wish I knew more about car electronics, because I would have done it myself, in fact, it may have been fun.. but I trusted these guys. I even tipped them after they finished the job. Circuit City in general is bad. I remember waiting around just to pay for a univeral remote for 30 minutes, because everyone was just standing around, but not at the cash register. I don't see them being around f
  6. I think this will be my 6th time going back
  7. Help with continued CC fiasco. Hey guys, took my car back. Fixed the illumination and bypass problem. Now gps is off a little bit (shows arrow off roads and stuff) and the illumination to my heater/air conditioner is off. Any help? Thanks Mo
  8. Hey guys, I recently had a D3 installed. It was working great (bypass) until I asked them to install a bluetooth adapter kit. Now bypass doesn't work right. I am taking the car back this week, they said they need a few hours to work with it. What should I tell them to do, and also, what do I tell them about the day/night mode not working? I have a 4runner with daytime running lights, but that shouldn't matter right? I still have to turn on the dash lights. Thanks Mo
  9. You guys are totally right about the iphone autoconnect. My fault. I will also probably get a 5g ipod through apple refurbished to watch videos. I also need to take back the car to CC and tell them to connect that wire mentioned. Can you guys tell me another thing. since they installed the bluetooth device, bypass doesn't work anymore. What should I tell them to get it to work again? They said they need "hours" to figure it out. Thanks
  10. Okay, I was wrong about all ipods.. yes they work, but music only. The video only works with generation 5? Pioneer should be working with apple on this and keeping the customers updated. This is one of their "big" features.. and it only works with certain ipods? I will look over the directions, thanks for the tip, I tried everything.. i still don't think it will work right. Lastly, I didn't mean that the gps itself is inaccurate, I mean that the discs are already outdated. It keeps telling me to turn down roads that are one way, that are not even there. It's weird. Also, I can't eve
  11. I totally blame Pioneer for my problems with the AVIC-D3. I had mine professionally installed at Circuit City 1-2 weeks ago. No mention that ipod generation >5.5 do not work with video, including iphones. bluetooth is horrible, have to reconnect it with my iphone EVERYTIME I get in and out of the car, totally useless. The gps is innacurrate. What gets me is that they advertise this unit as an interface for your ipod, which doesn't work with almost all the ipods out there! Then to watch videos you have to control it from the ipod sitting in your glove box? I think I may take mine back
