Hey, I have seen a few posts requesting 3000gt backgrounds, but they are from 2006 (sorry they are late)... I used toni's LED kit (on 3si.org) to change the color of my climate control buttons, so these work well for my car... Also, I wanted the wallpaper to be 3000gt related, but I couldn't bring myself to make it say "I have a badassed VR4, bow to its awesomeness" So I turned a picture of my car into Lightning McQueen. They don't look too bad on the unit.

That thread helped out... So here is the deal... I knew there was an update I needed to run to get the bypass to work, because I had originally read that thread telling me that. I put it off, and later found the bluetooth fix to enable the bypass, and assumed that was the same as the update listed on the thread. So, I kept trying to install the bluetooth update which, i don't think works on a z2. Long story short, the file in the link you gave me is the one I needed and it works perfectly now. Reset does nothing :/... I have rechecked that wire and it's grounded and in the connector... I want to conferm that I am allowed to have the vss wire hooked up without interfering with this bypass. Some more info if it's any help: in the testmenu under Bluetooth firmware update menu option there seems to be no information and an error "error!! Update was stopped" don't kno what that's about. I really hate this HU... I have the Z2, bought it in 2007 cant get the 2 wire method to work. I have both those wires grounded, and I am like 99% sure they are done right, first thing that pops up is that parking wire warning. I had the VSS wire hooked up and thought that might interfere and it really doesn't make a difference. I tried updating they system using that bluetooth image and its not as current as what is already installed (I probably did it last summer). I bought my z2 a while ago and was sure it would be perfect for me. I was dissapointed, but it was the best choice at the time. I loved the fact that it had HDD music storage, it had the screen is the best simply because there is so little trim around it (Cleaner look). Rearview camera rocks. I think as far as hardware goes its amazing, its the software that sucks. The menu tree is horrible, the theme is mediocre (Should be customizable), the media player needs to be completely changed, albums are sorted by date recorded instead of alphabetically. Overall the ease of use is pretty low.

I cant vouch for the ipod connection but Bluetooth is lacking. Personally I wouldn't use my iphone to play music because I spent the extra money for the hdd to store my music on the system itself. I haven't tried to sync address books with my 3g, but that is because the 1st gen iphone I had (using the same iphone firmware, 2.x) didn't allow it. I am disappointed with the iphones inability to do anything at all with bluetooth, aside from handsfree. (Also, there is no difference between how an iphone 3g will interact with the Z1/2/3 and how the original iphone will interact. Its almost like

Hey is there any way to increase the max call volume? My car is loud and I have the volume on the phone and z2 maxed but it's still hard to hear the calls if I'm going faster than 30mph Thanks
