  1. Loaded up the Z3 and they work perfectly. I had started working on this on my own and was making SOME progress but no where near complete or as thorough as you have done. I've done enough to know how tedious and time consuming this has been for you. No doubt you have given more attention to details than most, if not all, of us would have. They look great and I'm glad to have them back. Now to quote the famous Buford T. Justice.... "What I owe?" Seriously, PM me your paypal account info. Thanks again, Chris **EDIT** Thanks to everyone else that has been working on

    Save a Route

I have a question I just can't seem to find the answer to. Is there anyway to save a ROUTE?? Not just a destination in the address book, but the entire route? I spend about 30 minutes refining the route I want to take somewhere, inserting waypoints (which sometimes, 5 might not be enough). Then once I cancel that route, it seems to be gone forever. Even if I save the destination in the address book, it won't keep the waypoints. Am I overlooking something? I must be, can't image you can't do this.... Do I have to save each waypoint?? Thanks, Chris
  3. Just a follow-up to let you know how this worked out. I used 4 conductor 18 gauge stranded cable to extend the video camera to mount on the rear of the camper. I cut the molex (I think) connector off of the lead going to the camera. I soldered it onto one end of the cable and ran the cable from the interface box inside the dash, back along the frame rail to the bed stake pocket. I mounted a 4-way trailer connector there and soldered the cable to 3 pins of my choosing (pos, neg and video (I assume). I mounted the camera high on the center of the rear of the trailer. I ran the ca
  4. Thanks for the reply. I will follow your suggestions on the power and extending the video connection. My guess is I'll need to extend the connection about 35-40' to reach the back of the trailer from the back of the truck. I will work on putting this together and let you know how it works out. Thanks again! Chris
  5. Good point. I did notice that about them being out of stock a lot. As a matter of fact, I had problems with my first Terk and they were going to send me a Pioneer but didn't have any. Normally I get very good customer service/tech advice from them. I specifically asked the guy I ordered from if there was any difference between the Terk and Pioneer. He said they performed the same. Hum.... Thanks again for all of the advice. Chris
  6. OK, thanks for the advice. I may go on with the 10XMT just so I'll have it for the future if I want traffic. I'm sure they don't have any coverage in my rural area. Unless of course they provide info about cows being the road Why would a high quality outfit like Crutchfield sell that Terk junk anyway?? Chris
  7. I have the Z2 and being very uneducated at the time, bought the Terk XM adapter/receiver. It was free, so it must be high quality I do not have: Favorite artist/song Named presets Channel logo's Memo Sports/stocks My questions are: Is this to be expected with the Terk? Will the GEX-P920XM provide this? Do I need the GEX-P10XMT for this? And if so, do I need the Navtraffic subscription also? My old Delphi SkyFi unit would give me all of these features with the basic XM audio subscription. That is why I'm confused. Thanks for your advice, Chris
  8. Hello, I just purchased a Z2 package which included the ND-BC2. I would like to mount it on the rear of my 5th wheel camper to monitor our bikes on the rear (I have this fear I'll lose them and cause a massive pileup) and help when backing into campsite (since my wife doesn't get the fact if she can't see me in the mirrors, I can't see her). Anyway, has anyone done this? I've got a few questions. 1) It is better/easier to extend the RCA portion of the cable or the Pioneer "proprietary" portion (after the power supply)? 2) Should I power it from inside the vehicle or from the
  9. Does anyone know if this is an issue with the 08 RAM's?? I'm considering a Z2/3 for my new RAM. Do I need to bypass the factory amp also? According to Metra's WEB site, the part 70-6512 is only for up to 04 RAMS. The CHTO-01 (which I'm ordering) is for "retaining the factory amplifier". Does the Z2/3 offer amplification or do I need another amp? Thanks for any advice. Chris
