  1. I am having the same problem. At first I was using an ebay nav disc then all of a sudden when I went to use it again it was not working. I called pioneer service and the tech sent me a new nav disc. It worked just fine. Now i went to use it and it's having the same problem. I kept my discs in my cd visor holder. I live in texas and it has had some 100+ dayes here and my car sat in the sun. maybee that messed up my discs.
  2. Well, I took my unit apart and I found the cable from the main board to the small board for the pre amps was missing. Back to pioneer to fix it.
  3. I just got my unit back from pioneer . I had messed the main board on the unit. They replaced the main board and the flex cable. I installed the unit and none of my preamps work. I have a stock stereo and that works just fine but my subs don't work. I have everything hooked up right and the subs power on. I hooked up my mp3 player to the rca on the sub and they work. I have the sub turned on in the settings. Is there some connection that they could have left unpluged internal that i can plug in or should I send it back to them?
  4. never mind what i said. None of my pre-amp connections don't work. gotta call them tomorrow.
  5. They do that if you send them a bypassed unit. you will have to pay to get it bypassed again.
  6. UPDATE- I mailed my unit to pioneer for the flex cable fix. They said the main board looked messed up. So they said they might beable to fix it for $200 if not it could cost $550 if the board had to be replaced. If i did not want it repaired then it would be $70 for the check. I said ok to the check and the $200 for the flat rate fix. They said they would call back if there was any problems. I saw a charge on my card for $200. And it came yesterday. It was packed in a nice big box very well padded. The invoice said they replaced the main board and checked the unit and fixed the tab t
  7. Ok, now I feel stupid. I was playing with my n1 and I heeked up the - and + backwards to the unit. It buzzed and then some white smoke came out of the rear of the unit on the right side. Who can repair the units? What can I check to see whats fried?
  8. I got the brain in the mail today. Works awesome. Thanks
  9. I just got mine in the mail http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/productD ... IFICATION->S2%20-%20PRODUCT%20SPOT&cm_ite=12694%20PRODUCT%20PURCHASED&cm_keycode=26364 They are about $20 after shipping for the extension cable. You still need the short stock cable for the extension to work.
  10. Yah, thats what I thought. All I got was the flashing red light when i took the face plate off.
  11. Is there any way to test to make sure the screen works? Like jumping connections on the back of the unit?
  12. Ok, I just bought a N1 screen. I still need a gps antena and the 30 pin cable and brain. Once I get a brain will I need the discs to beable to use the unit? I'm not to worried about the nav right now i just want to play music and dvd's. Is the software version stored on the brain or head unit? And is there anywere you can download the software online?
