I just took a quick 5 mile spin after completing the update and my bypass still worked.

I called today to report my problem and the rep told me that this was a common problem and to expect an update out within a week that should fix this problem.

Did you discuss what their course of action would be if your new unit did the same. I purchased mine through Crutchfeild with their extended warranty. If they would give me my money back, I would take it in a heart beat. This is such a rip off. I really don't want to spend the time to remove, reinstall a new unit, lose all the time I spent ripping my cd's, lose all the time I spent adding in my phone book one at a time and most importantly, loose my bypass for something that is probably going to do the same thing.

CHemi, was that announced on the Pioneer website? If so, can you provide a link? Any other fixes in this upgrade?

Once I change the background and the try and go back to the original background, it is no longer there. The Z1 says that it has loaded the original background, but the background is just blank. Does anyone know how to get the default background back or a .jpg of it so I can upload it? Thanks.
