  1. The United States has had years to switch to the metric system and we have not come very far at all... Oh, you mean the nav units? Oh, why yes! Go to Settings from the main menu, then "Nav Settings" and then choose "Regional Settings". You can then choose date format, meters/feet, etc. LOL mikinnj!
  2. Nope, those are the dates for the videos. It clearly says the actual product will be released in June. Pioneer is taking a direct chapter from Microsoft Zune (and others) who had weekly updated teaser videos leading to the actual release. It looks like we'll get one video per week through June 10th. The technical term for this is "hype".
  3. Good question. I would assume the radio just plugs into the existing vehicle antenna lead. MSN does require its own antenna (I believe it is broadcast over an FM frequency, if I remember correctly), but that may be built into the box itself.
  4. Is that all it is though? I think the American market is fundamentally different. In fact, the J version of the AVIC F series doesn't have HSDPA built in, it just supports it if you pair it with your phone that has some type of 3G. I'd happily use the 3G connection from my current phone as a BT Modem (just like I do on my laptop) for my AVIC if I could get some of the cool online capabilities this would open up.   5. I'm so jealous - HSDPA? Imagine what you could do with that + live Google/Windows Live type maps in a mobile GPS. Dynamically updated POIs based on latest gen. search engines, unlimited personal modifications, etc. Why does Japan get all the cool toys first? - I wish we could get the cool Cell Phone/Nav stuff at the same time, but I guess we Amerrrkans are still too budget conscious for the cool new toys.
