Got it working with the UK maps, thanks everyone for continuously keeping this thread up to date. Longest part was backing up everything. I loaded the UK 2008.07 UK maps, poi and buildings and 2008.01 WestEUMAJOR ones as well. I left all of my US maps on there, I imagine this may affect the boot time, but I'm not too worried about it. As long as they all fit, I figured I was ok. One question, what are the FYROM8_2008.07 maps? I noticed them in the Europe downloads, but haven't been able to figure out what they're for.

I ended up having to use the GEX-P920XM. I had an older P910XM but no luck getting it to show up.

Hmmm...that's weird, 4000 miles round trip and it never once updated for me except in my home market the first time. I had high hopes for it, too bad about not supporting navtraffic either, since it works great with my D2. Oh well, guess that's $150 I save...

So I activated MSN direct before I drove across the country expecting it to work in all the major markets it supports. Unfortunately I could never connect anywhere else except in my home market. I tried manually syncing it when I got to another major city but it never actually synced. Is this a limitation of MSN direct or is there some setting I can change to have it work everywhere? Does the F series support xm navtraffic that we could use instead?

Same with the D2, it's Up, Up, Down, Down, press the joystick in (enter).

Great post, I've been unable to hit the buttons on the right side and it's been really annoying, recalibrating fixed the problem. This should be a sticky.
