I can't see it being done through the avic but I'm sure there's some password piece you can hook up to a relay tied into the starter wire. The avic is in no way tied to your ignition harness, and the only way I can see it ever happening is if someone designs the password interface so when the correct sequence is entered it gives power to a wire not being used by the owner, IE reverse wire or speed sense, etc, which would trigger a relay that allows your starter wire to complete the circuit...but good look with that. ....I want that though lol

I'm neutral between BB and CC, as I bought from both places, but I feel CC had a better quality audio line than BB. The BB by me only carried Infinity Sony and Alpine while CC carried Kicker Pioneer Polk and more. But in BB's defense I bought my TV from there and they were very very informative and helpful. They even threw in a free TV calibration appointment.

Even a class action will not change anything. The only grounds that those inetrested have is that the unit does not work the way it was intended. Pioneer's grounds are They already released 2 updates to fix the bugs and a huge majority of the customers are satisfied. If this happened when it first released then you would have a much much better case but it's at a point now where only a small amount of F series owners are still unsatisfied, and Pioneer can not make every single customer happy. Also keep in mind that Pioneer is not a small family owned business that cares about their customers.

I don't see why you'd get flamed, that makes perfect sense. And Pioneer also released not one, but two updates to correct the probems as best as they can to date. The unit is now in a position where it functions and the features work. Back months ago when it released there was a lot wrong with it, but not now. Now the majority of the F series owners are satisfied, especially the Pre-update owners. I've even read posts where members regret going Kenwood. Point is YOU WILL NOT WIN ANY KIND OF LAWSUIT AGAINST PIONEER.

The bypass is not just for watching videos while driving it's also to keep all the functions accessible at any given time whether you're parked in your driveway or cruising down the highway.

You have 2 choices, Fonjo... A) continue to be an ass to everyone who tries to help you (like that member in the thread I provided) and when you're unit locks you out, figure it out for yourself Stop acting younger than watkch01 and myself (I'm 20 as well) and listen to what we're telling you. Grounding out the parking brake wire is only half the bypass and while it may work now, it will eventually stop working unless you complete it. The unit knows when you're moving whether the wire is grounded or not. It's a known fact, just listen to the members who actually know this unit.

Dude stop being a dick. I know everything about this unit, and in your 4 months of owning it, you seem to know not one thing. People do these hacks to make using it much easier. Delete route button on the map is so they don't have to press menu, then desination, then delete route. Theme's are so people can make the unit look the way they want it to look. Linear compass gives you an exact direction. Nav mute is so they don't have to hear a reminder every 20 seconds. The list goes on, just do some research. But take it from me, if you continue to talk to other members like that don't expect much

You are correct about what you said, but I can only recall one member that claims the 3d settings stays. As far as I know it will return to the original view upon pressing map. The iGo maps on the F simply do not support North heading.

You'll spend more than you spent on the unit. Count your losses and move on, you're not going to win against Pioneer. And Tacoma, we all know where you stand lol
