  1. First of all, as a general rule, you don't want to use all the artificial staging and eq crap presets. If you spent that kinda coin on your Avic and the kappa quality speakers, get a 4 channel amp for the door speakers, and a monoblock amp for your sub..should be able to do that for $400 total or less. Have the stereo shop guy optimize your amp levels. Once you're in the car use the eq function of the D3 sparingly. Good quality speakers amp'd properly will require little to no eq'ing.
  2. One solution is to go into "System" menu settings and under the "Ringtone" option, select "On". This simply allows the D3 to play its standard built in ringtone when an incoming call is received. It is not direct fix for not playing my BB ringtones but at least it will ring through my speakers and not just on my blackberry (in case I forget to turn on my ringer after a meeting or something)
  3. Yep, definitely going to have to get a multichannel amp for your car speakers. I have a Memphis 10" with a mono sub driving it and a 4 channel amp driving my memphis front, rear door and tweeter speakers.
  4. Hello all, I have an Avic d3, about a month or two now. My phone is BB8830. All was working perfectly, then about a week ago or so when I receive an incoming call, my music mutes properly, the caller ID shows the number but the ringtones don't play through the speakers, only on the handset. I don't believe I changed anything. There doesn't appear to be a relevant setting in bluetooth or phone options that would address this. Any advise or experience woould be very much appreciated. Thanks!
