I changed the Polarity around to Ground and battery.. still same problem.. hmmm.. the camera works, it just doesnt pop on when the car is in reverse (possibly the Z2 doesnt know that the car is in reverse)

I installed my rear camera to my Z2. However, when I turn it on (from the Z2 AV settings screen), it won't switch to the camera screen when in reverse. I also noticed when I start the car up, the camera screen pops on as if the car was in reverse. Could the reverse wire be hooked up incorrectly??? (maybe the Z2 thinks that the car is in reverse all the time?)

Mine did the same thing. I actually just reset it and now it isn't displaying that anymore... hopefully it will last like this

Now I'm running the Shaker 500 w/ Z2 in my Mustang. I just bought some JL 12's and wanna run those along with the stock subs in the shaker 500. Is it possible like with running a Y splitter from the head unit? Or will this kill the sound quality?

any updates on if the LG Voyager will pair with the z2?? I'd hate to buy the bluetooth adapter and not even be able to use it because of my cell phone

I had my z2 installed a couple days ago. Everything worked great except the bypass was not done. I took it back to the installer to have the 2 wire bypass done with the directions from http://www.sminntech.com/z1flash.html#newbypass. The bypass worked but shut off at 20mph + above. Nevermind! The bypass was never done like I was told.

I just got my z2 installed. When I go to the Destination screen, I cannot make a new search by address, point of interest, or anything. I see the icons, but it won't let me select them. It also won't let me change around the split screen navigation. Can anyone help me??! Did the installer forget to install a wire or two?? Please help! Thanks!

executioner, Did you do the bypass? If so, how did you do the bypass? I checked out the sticky on the bypass for the z2 and it says something like you need to download a file & burn it onto a CD as an image..?

Sounds about right. Found mine for $72 + shipping. Correct. The PAC harness has... • R.A.P. (Retained Accessory Power) +12v output. *rock on* • VSS output. • Illumination output. • Parking brake output. • Reverse trigger output. • Digital amp turn-on. • Discrete 5v amp turn-on Took me about an hour to solder/heat shrink everything up on the work bench, then it was just a matter of sticking it all in the dash. I haven't bought it yet. I was waitng to buy it to see if anything else was needed after I buy it. I think I found it for $77 w/ free shipping somewhere... So the wiring harness takes care of everything listed above (except for the mounting kit)??? There's no need for the 5v regulator, shaker adaptor, & or any other wiring harness?

Hey guys I actually just bought the z2 today and I'm gonna be putting it in my '06 Mustang with the Shaker 500. I plan on buying that PAC wiring harness to save myself some trouble when installing it. Is there anything that I'll need besides a mounting kit when installing z2? I'd like to just do it myself instead of having Circuit City do it...

I actually have a question for this post. My brother has a IS300 with the stock navigation. Is it possible to replace the stock headunit with a D3 os Z2 and still be able to use the stock navigation screen as well?
