Call UPS. If it was insured, you should be covered one way or another. If it wasn't, but you paid for it, then you have good reason to tear the retailer a new one. Do you have a receipt or anything which shows the insurance fee?

Isn't it the other way around? When I turn my overhead light on, it gets bright, and when I turn it off, it dims.

I recently had the same problem in my Nissan. Metra makes a wiring harness that utilizes both the RCA and regular power harnesses from the D2, and then hooks directly into the factory harness. That way the amp is getting the pre-amp signal from the RCAs. I got it for my truck, and I imagine they make it for the Ford, too. If you PM cntrylvr79 about it, I'm sure he could give you a part number.

I have the PAC adapter, it works well. I have it setup to adjust volume, channel, source, and the power button is mute. Of course, you can program it to do whatever you like. My only gripe is the channel up/down won't control presets. I currently have my GPS antenna under the dash, actually it's on top of the AVIC. It gets good reception there so I don't plan on going through the trouble of mounting it outside. The XM antenna, for now, is running out to the roof through the front passenger door. I have a D2 in my 2006 Nismo with the RF package. On the bigger of the two harnesses, there's a light blue wire (top right, looking from the wire side) which is the VSS. If you have that, you're good to go. Now, getting the damn unit to fit was the hardest part. I'm still using the non-Nissan mounting holes on the unit because the support bar behind the dash is in the way. I know others have gotten it to fit, but I have the IP Bus cables hooked up for the XM, and I think the plugs are hitting that bar.

I keep reading about the version 1.2 update, but does my new D2 need it as well, or is it only for the D1? Also, I was under the impression that the D2 had the XM logo issue updated, but it's missing a bunch on mine, will 1.2 fix that by any chance?
