So would a new pioneer cable for the iPhone solve this problem of video not coming out of the iPhone? Any idea why they changed the pin order?

I am using an iphone....it works great with audio, but as you guessed the video does not work. I have no idea why. There is rumors of some kind of chip in the wires now, but I really am getting confused on what they area talking about. Anyways the only other problem which I noticed (and anyone please let me know of you notice the same thing) was that the album art on the iPhone is terrible compared to the iPOD. Once again I have no idea why. Let me know if you've got any other questions. Oh yea, I am using the Pioneer iPOD cable.

The iPhone connects perfectly and dims the radio on que, but he call quality is horrible. So trust me the bluetooth is terrible even with the iPhone. As for Pioneer putting this thru testing, I seriously doubt it. The boot time is also pretty bad. My unit also takes about 2-3 min to boot up. I mean some of my driving is less than 5 min, so it is quite annoying that by the time I reach my destination my unit has finally completed booting up.

Well the FM/AM radio works well...and.. 1) GPS map does run very smooth 2) iPOD integration works very well (not iPhone) 3) POI works ok. Slightly buggy and locks up. 4) Voice control of music (and music ONLY) works great. Honestly, I am reaching for great points. I have very high standards, but I think I should if I paid $1200+ dollars for the unit (installation, TONS of adapters for JBL Synthesis, adapters for steering wheel controls, 3 year warranty). Yea tried that, but the cutting in an out of a conversation is the worst part. The echo is still there, but not as bad. A lot can be corrected by lowering the volume. Still a terrible bluetooth.

I've been using the iPhone with the AVIC-F700BT. Here is what works and what doesn't. 1) Audio works flawlessly. 2) Album art is MUCH lower quality (in large view) as compared to when you plug in a iPOD. I have no idea why. Does anyone else have to "accept" the GPS agreement every time they start their car?

Anyone having issues with the bluetooth phone quality. When I am listening to someone the call quality is great, but apparently on the other end the people always say it is difficult to hear, there are echo's, and sometimes the voice cuts out for a second. I've tried turning down the volume, but it does not seem to help. This is becoming a very frustrating unit.

Couple of questions.... 1) Anyone know if the voice recognition works with making calls with an iPhone (not working for me). 2) Screen splash --> I'm trying to change the background and it's not working. I'm doing it thru USB and it just locks up. I changed the image size to the recommended settings and kept it under 15MB....still not working. 3) Error keeps appearing that says parking brake sensor is improperly installed.
