  1. ...can anybody give it a shot and post up please?
  2. My dvd player is broken, and my 360 is too power hungry to run off my little AC/DC adapter. Can anybody confirm a non-ipod video source working or not working on their f-series?
  3. Is it possible to hack the nav portion to change out the icons used for various things (i.e. changing the red arrow in 3d/2d view to a picture of a car)? I've done this on my Navigon standalone GPS and on other TomTom devices... perhaps when the first nav software update gets released I'll be able to take a look at the datafile, but I've never had a Pioneer before, has this been done?
  4. When I first plugged in and turned on my F90BT, I selected Jason (English non-TTS) but at least saw the TTS voice as an option. I have no option to select any TTS voice (English or otherwise) and only have 3 options: English (Jason) Spanish (MEX dunno the name) French (dunno the name) where'd my TTS options go? (I know the TTS chick has a problem saying comma all the time, but still...)
  5. When I connect my Super Nintendo (standard RCA) to either AV1 internally or through the front patch cable (CD-RM10) to the front AV2 input, the GUI locks up. I can hear the audio coming through no problem, but the video gets caught on the first frame it sees. If I twist the volume knob, nothing happens, but as soon as I unplug the video cable (either from AV1 or if I'm using the external AV2) it immediately changes the volume up and down like it had the commands buffered but was frozen. I'm quite pissed. Pioneer Support says it's a new issue and for me to try another video source, but
  6. Why not instead buy a $1 RCA cable, strip the ends and solder that?
  7. Anybody put a stealth faceplate on their f-series yet? I'm trying to figure out either a good OEM to buy and gut, or whether or not there's somebody making and selling AVIC stealth faceplates ready-made. Anybody got any ideas?
  8. I guess I'd just go with the divx standard because I have a pro version of divx to encode... I'm still wondering what the best resolution is (800x480)? I know it says 10Mbps for the transfer rate, but I'm wondering what a good bitrate is for quality without dropping frames. Good suggestions so far though.
  9. Anybody have a good all in one utility, or maybe a step-by-step process for taking videos of various resolutions and aspect ratios and formatting them for the 640x480 screen? Also, what's the best way to get rid of the vertical "smush" aspect ratio problem when viewing videos in "Full" mode? Purposely recode movies so that they're horizontally smushed so they normalize when stretched from 640x480 to 800x480? I've begun experimenting with virtualdub but want to get a better handle on things.
  10. I thought the 900bt/f90bt DO have the gyro.
  11. The maximum size available to SDHC is 32GB!!! Here's my email exchange with Pioneer support:
  12. I just held off on buying an 8gb SDHC because I'm hoping somebody with a 16gb or even 32gb would be able to give this a shot... I already have too many <4gb SD/SDHC cards because I keep upgrading my cards and have nothing to do with the old ones.
  13. google search f90bt support: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... port?tab=E
  14. ...the back, it's also the ipod connect cable. So it's either ipod or usb (no hub or splitters allowed)
  15. '06 STi here... This won't work for the new F series because of the huge knob which doesn't push-in and recess (like Alpine units). I've gotta try and find something which looks stock... might just cut through the AM/FM buttons but then there'd be three knobs and if you look close enough you'd notice it's just a cover (which might tempt someone more than a stock unit itself).
  16. Holy eff... can you please use some semblance of coherent thought and maybe a little bit of punctuation every now and then? It's near impossible to read your post.
  17. I realize it has this through the MSN Direct, I was wondering because there's XM Navtraffic logos all over the f90bt page.
  18. wait... what? no nav traffic on the F? could you explain? i specifically bought an XM attachment for my F90BT
  19. I know it can bring up traffic through MSN Direct or XM Traffic... will it reroute through traffic using these services?
  20. So we've got about 55 units... is there anybody who can do this deal?
