  1. Pfft, Don't need to tell me, I ride motorcycles, I feel every single bloody hole... at least they fixed the highways, now it's no longer scary at night. Swweeet... Supercharged v6 audi? What'cha get the A6?
  2. Surprisingly faster... haha sorry you can't use that in our city... wait till the new mayor comes. Yea, the built in navis have gone far, toyota just released a killer navi that will make units like pioneer fall to their knees.
  3. Boris you got rid of the audi?

    Hey Guys

Hey my old Avic F friends... what has everyone been up to?
  5. Download and extract the digital font on page 40 and install it in apl2/igo folder. Should take care of re-boot issues. Cheers, I figured there was something How you guys been? NSEW I saw you got your trip calc working nicely.
  6. I just tested the nav mod again, re download the file and uploaded it to thumbdrive, tested, still rebooting. I swear the sys file was different... and there was a font or 2
  7. try reverting back to the stock and see if it works, if it does then that means the modded files that you have might be corrupted Yea original works, booted up fine. Think I should re download and try again? besides the data file isn't there a couple others that need to be replaced?
  8. Hey Boris, It's been some time... I have a tiny issue, and I'm 100% sure you know the answer to it. My Nav crashed a month ago, I did a install of 3.002 (I think) to fix it, I grabbed your Data file today and put in place of the old (renamed original) once I replaced it the nav started crashing, wont actually boot up to the pioneer gui. I thought at one point we also needed to copy the sys file and fonts, has something changed? Any ideas why the nav would crash with the data.zip you provided. Holla' IDT and NSEW
  9. I upgraded to 3.0... where's boris? Lol... all the vets are gone... it's ok thought, I found my sd card today
  10. no way of booting int it at all? does leet launcher boot off usb without any modifications? I know its possible to just do testmode via leetlauncher
  11. Hye boys, it's been a while... hope all is well. i seem to have misplaced (lost) my SD during my big (small) move, is there a way to boot to testmode via usb? i've searched it and ended up with a dead link... I've tried putting testmode on usb but it says "cant find (something) on SD" Cheers
  12. omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg!!! posT PLEASE I'll GIVE YOU MY FIRST BORN FOR THAT QUICK LAUNCH... sorry... I had to! Yea, I did some modding a while back, I didnt mind doing it as long as people didnt abuse the privlage and take advantage... its a community and people help each other out... but there's always that 4000 users that sign up make one post saying "omg, hu dead, I load your version of avic and you broke my unit, fix now or die with a mighty wrath of my mind"
  13. CMH = gone It's not as easy as you thing to "give" you guys mods... give me a million dollars and I'll give you mods... thats the same type of request.
  14. Because you were told it won't work. Lol, people just dont read... hahaha
  15. I wouldnt recommend putting in the 10amper in, obviously theres a problem that's why they're blowing... if it comes with a stock 2amp then leave it with a 2amp just find the issue, check your wiring, make sure your speakers are wired correctly, make sure not to overpower the unit... things like that
  16. It's a stupid question because you have NOT searched, if you did you'd find posts in regards to it, but since you're too lazy to click search and type "hard drive" here ya go... viewtopic.php?f=34&t=24072&hilit=hard+drive
  17. Yea nav will work with speed as long as you dont loose gps signal
  18. Yes mods are still easy and available to do , but the ui files are just alittle different so all the mods have to be implemented over the new ui files. not too difficult, I've spent a couple days now working on some mods... big differences in UI files, they've cleaned up the code A LOT
  19. You are right, I have recently taped up the pioneer as tightly as I could and even put on some tie wraps over it. Hopefully this does the job better than last time. Anyways, unlike the apple cable, I have been experiencing absolutely no connection issues so far. Just hoping the channel issues won't resurface. I'll probably return the apple cable by the end of the week if all goes well. Still, I'm curious as to know if there is a difference in sound quality between the two. I would test the two again, but I'd just hate to have to pull everything apart again. Yea, I honestly cant see there
  20. Hopefully it's the same as other units (can be found in the 3.0 update steps) Step 4.4: Press the volume knob in this sequence and you will see * signs for each push: Up, Up, Down, Menu, Left, Right.
  21. Here ya go, took 2 min on google... not even... Control Lever: 250-3421 OR 250-3742 VSS Wire: UNDER HOOD ON FIREWALL 3 CONNECTOR PCM MIDDLE CONNECTOR POSITION 1 PURPLE/ORANGE VSS Wire Color: PURPLE/ORANGE VSS Pulse: 8000 VSS Tach Wire: IF MANUAL TRANSMISSION USE CLUTCH SWITCH 250-4206 Brake Switch Positive: GREEN/RED
  22. Not at all, same exact speed. I've done both with/without and had same results, only time you'll have a "issue" is if you loose GPS signal (under a tunnel or garage where there is no signal)
