I am having both these problems. This memory leak seems to make the GPS portion of the head unit to crash since the audio and BT is still fully functional. Also I am using the Pioneer cable for my ipod and seeing the same results too. Have spoken to pioneer directly and they are working on a fix for al of this. Guys name was CLARK. I suggest that we just calling the pioneer NAV support directly and keep hammering them with these problems.

Yeah I can agree that the mic is kinda shitty, but what helps A LOT on the phone calls is turning the echo cancellation off. It sounds much better when its not on.

Right, but aside from the s series thats the only other update that they have ever issued.

My iPod is up to the latest Firmware. Firmware update? In the history of the AVIC units it seems that they have only issued one FW update and that was for the n series i think. All we can do I think is pound their customer service with calls.

Im using the offical Pioneer cable spec'd for this unit.

I have the official cable and as far as the browsing goes mine does the same thing. songs alphabetically. Didnt do it on my old alpine. as far as tour alphabetical search goes you will scroll through the letters and it WILL do nothing. you have to press the letter to make it actually go there.

No matter how I browse through the ipod all my songs will always populate in alphabetical order. Browse through records, songs come up on alphabetical order not the order they are tagged, or recorded on the record. Browse through playlists, the songs are no longer in order, but in alphabetical order. Please if anyone has any suggestions. This is really frusturating me.
