  1. Im guessing your bypass is wrong..... causing the car to think the e brake is on
  2. hm,, sorry but i really dont understand,, can you explain with simple words?? more bass??.. i really dont know.. Less Resistance, more bass. If you have a 200W Amp, thats measured at a specific resistance, usually 2 or 4 ohms. If you wire up two Speakers in series, and each speaker is 2 ohms resistance, you will have 4 ohms total resistance. Think of resistance as teh skinny part of an hourglass, or a door that a bunch of people are going through at once, they resist "movement". If you wire up two speakers in parallel and each speaker is 2 ohms, your overall resistance is now
  3. The Avic Documentation wants you to wire the reverse sensor right into the Reverse light. The cord supplied should be plenty long enough to connect to that light on the back of your truck (the light that comes on when you are in reverse, NOT the Brake light). The cord that comes with it has a built in resistor (or diode, or fuse) im not friggin sure i cant remember to ensure there is no electrical problem. Essentially that light acts like the "switch". that lets the D3 know when you are in reverse. Additionally, i see no problems with the camera you specified, provided it has an RCA out to
  4. Honestly, Bring it back and tell them to fix it. You paid them, make them do thier job. they most likely didnt install the VSS, illumination, and parking brake wires, and just left them there. Have you reset the learning on the unit?? is it mounted sideways or angled in your car? or is it level and perpendicular to the path of travel? ~Jason
  5. Mine is routed behidn the radio, around the manual tranny, practically into the backseat, where it goes up the back of the center console and in through the hollow hinge (genius idea on my part, if i might add, i didn't want to drill a hole in the center console) And i still have about 2 feet of cable stashed in teh center console. So mine goes into my backseat, then up the back of the center console, and inside it, with 2 feet to spare. You should have enough cable to put it anywhere you want, barring the back glove box of a suburban.
  6. I really really didn't want to, but im going to bite.... If YOU really cared about sound quality, you'd bust out a scope, and a test cd with a 0db test wave (or several at different frequencies) adjust the gain to max w/o clipping, and then back off a bit. Not just randomly set it to 1/2 or 5/8. Are you a fucking idiot? Do you know anyhing about properly setting up a system? Jeezus Christ, lets just randomly set gain levels so we have clipping audio but omgwtfbbqhax Die.. and PS, your answer had NOTHING, and i mean NOTHING to do with his original question, and he stated righ
  7. Ummm... If you rip the disk in ISO read mode, there will be only 1 file, an ISO (disk image) file. I believe dvd decrypter can create ISO's but by default it simply CLONES the entire dvd structure, inside a folder, while removing the encryption. So if you did this to a regionally encoded or copy protected dvd movie the resulting .vob files in the finished directory would be region/copy protection free. I too, have been using dvd decrypter for years, in combination with dvd shrink to produce flawless backup copies of nearly all my media. Id recommend it totally if it works
  8. lol, this whole time reading it, i was gonna say START YOUR CAR BET THE BATTERY IS DEAD, but you beat me to it..... haha Glad you got it fixed and WASN't the D3
  9. Update to the latest firmware for the V3m... You will have to get a pirated copy of PST, and download the Firmware from humpa.com/vzw Going into any verizon store they always say "we dont have it" or have no idea what the hell your talking about... The newest firmware for the v3m vzw phones allows multiple phonebook transfers... along with other cool stuff like obex, and opp
  10. I only see major routing problems (as i stated before) with South to North routes, can anyone else confirm/deny ths?
  11. Try resetting it, that seems to be the common fix for this problem... ~Jason
  12. Id have to agrere with the "pu the destination on the right" thing.... I've taken several long road trips, and they always take me south.. When i go north to south, the route ALWAYS matches yahoo, mapquest, google, within 20 milss (700 mile route to southern VA) and spans about 12 different highways, so im sure its navigating rather than taking a single road The problem happens when i go home, even if i enter the SAME two addresses (whereby google, mapquest, yahoo) will take me the reverse route, the D3 goes apeshit and takes me all over different roads and makes my new route 9
  13. While this was true previously, the sheer number of people seem editing thier phones, (or verizon coming to thier senses) has made it so that all newer verizon phones support OPP. They just wont let you transfer registered ringtones or pictures/ect with it. They have even released firmware updates for most of thier older phones (specifically the V3M/C) to enable OPP as well. Download a pirated copy of PST and install the latest firmware!! Dont bother going to a verizon store, chances are they wont have/wont install firmware for (insert random arbitrary reason here) so just do it yourself..
  14. Basically, ive been struggling with this for weeks, reading guides, it just hasn't been working. I've been making the common assumption that many do that clicking "Transfer Phonebook" should actually transfer the phone book. Lo and behold, it doesnt. So Below ill instruct you how to transfer your ENTIRE phonebook, And if i can do it with Verizon, which usually locks out ALL features of a phone, you should easily be able to adapt the instructions to your phone. Equipment: Verizon V9M Razr2 and Avic D3 Step 1. Make sure your car is on, the phone is connected to the unit, and fully regis
