  1. I bought this unit from a previous owner. My first unit was stolen from my car, so, this is a replacement. This is a 2007 mfg dated unit, bypassed by me doing the 2 wire, and I checked and it's on Version 04.0000 and it is up to the 2009 software update. I had talked to Pioneer yesterday and they confirmed the numbers. The chassis of the unit iteself is getting hotter than normal. Now my back up camera video wire is causing the video output to be dark. The amp is connected to the car battery right now, a brand new red top Optima. I haven't tried taking the amp and sub off the car batt
  2. My Z2 is installed via RCA to a 4 channel amp and a sub is attached as well. If I turn up the volume past 15, the screen starts jumping and shows lines when base notes or low notes hit and then, it shuts down and restarts. It also is getting hot. I just also noticed, the picture for the rearview is getting dark. The lows are hitting really hard but nothing else. Bad unit? Bad harnesses? I just put on a new battery, all grounds are good. Maybe it's the amp? Suggestions are greatly appreciated.
  3. So the antenna issue is fixed and the camera. Now, huge feedback when car is turned or engine on. I've change the ground, the power, ran RCA away from power lines. Can't think of anything else. Maybe the amp is drawing too much power? I'll check the grounds at the deck again. Thoughts?
  4. First off, the rear view isn't working anymore and the camera won't trigger in reverse on the deck. It does on my rearview mirror display that I have installed so at least I know the wire is still giving signal; but not to the Z2. Next, the unit froze badly, had to soft reset it. Couldn't get the OK button to react on start up. Then when it did, the cursor on the map goes wacko and all over the place. The buttons aren't responding to touch commans anymore either. The Bluetooth would go on as a phone call would come in and the voume would not lower. That seems to be ok now though. Then
  5. Have a rearview mirror hooked up via a video spliiter for the rearview camera. But, sometimes when the turn signal is activated, the monitor on the rearview flashes on? Anyone know where this short could be? Also, the image on the Z2 when in backup mode is totally fuzzy. No good picture, but the image on my rear view mirror monitor is perfect. Ideas?
  6. Looking for the VSS on a 2005 Dodge Magnum SXT. I have it tapped to the Green/Brown at the PCM in the Psgr. side right now per the wiring diagram but not working. Suggestions?
  7. I am having issues with the rear view as well. I have it also signal split to a rear view mirror and the image is perfect on there. I've switched out cables, check this and that, thinking it is still the harness from the unit itself. Any other suggestions besides sending it back for service?
  8. The wiring harness from the Magnum does not have ACC, so it appears I have to run an ACC line from the harness/AVIC to the car. But, according to my wiring diagrams, the ACC is a negative polarity from my wiring harness. If I tap this line and connect to the ACC on the AVIC, will this screw it up? It's a negative polarity to positive, correct? Help, I'm having brain fart!
