I have almost the same problem! Just installed the 1. disk(SD card) (3.0 upgrade) the unit started to reboot. After re-booting "fatal error screen" came up and the unit is re-booting every 3 minutes with the "fatal error " screen. Tried re-setting it, inserting SD card again etc.... nothing. I think the unit is going back to Pioneer, after I talk to them in the morning.. After that it's getting sold.

Scott thank you for trying to help, I found the orig. Pioneer install cage on Ebay ( Germany) and it's arriving on friday.

If you place it on metal it will stay in place. The module(antenna) has a magnetic bottom.

Does anyone know where I can get this item ? Got the f90bt a month ago and can't get the unit installed. I tried Best Buy , Enfig.com, Pioneer and many others with no luck .... P.S. Is there any other way to install it in a 2004 VW R32 with a different install cage ? ( Clarion, Kenwood...)
