  1. Is it fairly easy to install touchscreen? I don't have much experience with installing car audio. Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the help! It looks just like a big spiderweb! lol The images beneath seem fine, just as if nothing happened. Is the screen something Best Buy can replace? I also see offers on eBay to fix the Avic for far less than I believe Pioneer would charge. Good idea? Thanks again!
  3. Hey guys, Would I be able to easily transfer my music directly to another Avic hard drive or must it all be done via my iMac? Thanks!
  4. Hi all, Let's just say I have a bit of a temper issue. lol Apparently my right hook is good enough to crack the screen on my Avic z2. I cannot change channels or anything else when I touch the screen. However...the remote control works and I can push the buttons on the bottom panel to change stations/volume, etc. I'd actually be fine with it "as is" if I could control the AV settings. Could the issue just be replacing the touch screen? I believe the LCD costs a lot more...does it sound like that may need to be replaced? Thanks in advance for your help! Paul
  5. I imagine by making it one track there will be no way to skip ahead to certain songs other than just fast-forwarding, correct? Thanks for the info about Toast.
  6. Thanks for the input. I would like to add the live albums to the library and I don't believe there is a way to do that through Toast or another program of the like. It's also very annoying on albums like Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall . Dark Side is meant to be listened to in its entirety and without interruption. I think the only way to listen to these albums without the "breaks" is by the old-fashioned inserting of the disc each time. You also can not download music from an MP3 disc to the Library.
  7. Well, as long as it's not a priority for them then we should all be satisfied. I swear customer service has died a while ago in this country. Was this guy a supervisor? I'm willing to bet he said his name is "Tom" but he's clearly speaking to you from India or somewhere. lol Thanks for trying though, man. I appreciate the update!
  8. Good to see that others are curious too. I understand that iPods do not do this but have yet to download onto one. I can't wait to toss all my CDs. Of course, I will have to hold on to the live ones until this mystery is solved.
  9. Wow 73 views and nothing??? Thanks guys.
  10. Intervals on the playback from the music library on the Z2? Obviously, live albums are the biggest issue with this. Is there a setting so it doesn't "jump" from track-to-track? Thanks!
  11. Thanks Big. I will give it a try and a manual from Crutchfield is on its way! I downloaded the update but because I just bought the Z2 I know Hyperite said I may not need it. It wouldn't affect the unit if I tried to download it anyway, will it? I'd rather make sure the update is straightened away before doing the 2-wire bypass. Thanks!
  12. Looks like I'm screwed. Thanks for your help though.
  13. Well, if you didn't specifically have them do the 2-wire bypass, the ISO won't help you. OK. So if i go back to Best Buy...will they know exactly what a 2-wire bypass is? Will I have to show them those specific directions? The DVD was what really made me want this unit. Thanks again.
  14. Hey Hyper, First off, thanks for creating this thread and for your hard work. Best Buy actually installed this for me. So I'd rather not take the dash apart as I am not well-schooled in installation. So the ISO appears to be the way to go for me, right? Also...I have Sonic CD burner on my PC but I believe that is Windows-based. So I guess I should download another burner program? Thanks again!
  15. Hi all, Just registered. I bought the Z2 a few days ago. I was wondering if someone can confirm that Hyperite's "Method 2" from original post will still work? If so, looks like all I have to do is download the ISO file, correct? Thanks, Paul
