that would be great if it can play Xvid, so bascially everytime if i have an Xvid video, i load up the program and have it do the little trick, then burn it right? that's just amazing yo

DivX and Xvid is totally different codec, although they are both AVI, if u play video conversion long enough, you'll notice DivX provides better quality with moderate file size, whereas Xvid are highly compressed, not as good quality, but every small file size

Also some of the people that's buying D3 is because of the DivX functionality, you think all of us misread that important info? heh

i'll look forward to ur testing, as i dont' really like the MP4 format, but im a big fan of DivX since it's smaller size and better quality. Anyone could take a pic of the ipod video? if it doesn't look that great i might just buy a normal ipod just for song purpose

i've been doing video conversion for quiet a while, can i convert the movie into DivX format, put it in Ipod and act that as DivX video and play on the D3?

does ipod video comes with a converter program?

i already bought the D3, now im wondering if i should get Ipod Video or regular Ipod. Depends on how the quality is. As i know the ipod video screen is pretty small, so the video quality doesn't have to be good, but what happens when it enlarge to D3 screen with 6" monitor? anyone tried please give some input

hard drive music, because Z1 cannot play CD mp3, you have to RIP the music CD into the HDD, all .wav format, consider .wav files are pretty large, avg around 13 songs in 650 mb CD, 10 gb will gives you less than 260 songs. Whereas D3 can play CD/DVD mp3, 5 mb max per song, a 4GB DVD u have about 800 songs in 1 DVD, plus fully ipod integration and IPOD video on screen. Z1 has voice command (which isn't a big deal IMO, better off pressing the buttons i guess), direction on speech, probably faster reroute. If these 3 are ur concern for the extra $$, go for Z1, otherwise, D3 hands down the mo

for those that comparing D3 and this DNX7100 unit, price difference is almost like 700 bucks, how can you compare them? consider D3 is less than half the price to kenwood unit with that many functions.

curious, for those already owns the BT device, in some situation you don't want the person near you to hear who is calling you, ie: 2nd GF or whatever? In this case if you pick up the phone and the person besides you hear ur conversation, then ur screwed right? what will u guys do? or just screw it and hang up lol

1 question, if i do bypass, does the bluetooth still function? i mean like when there is a phone incoming call, will it mute the music on the background while i taking the call?

ur comparing a more expensive unit. Come on to be honest, D3, with this price, with all its function, hands down it's not the best, but the most cost efficent unit. BTW good news, just got myself on a Avic D3 today, unit cost me 1100 CND, 200 CND Bluetooth, 45 CND ipod cable, Accessories for customize face plate, wireharness, and antenna for 120 CND. Labour cost for putting everything on $160 CND. Plus 14% tax tho, anyways, gotta put that in on next Wednesday, already paid deposite, some so excited and can't wait!

i think HD wouldn't be an obvious advantage to Kenwood. Come on, a 7" screen, how many pixels is the unit going to output on a 7"? a DVD movie is already sufficent, and ur not staring at the thing for ur enjoyment in ur car while u drive or park. U do those at home. the Car multimedia function is for those who going for long trip, have passengers and have them watch something while taking the long trip. HD or not, it's not big of a difference at all IMO

haven't done research on that brand, but what i know of from D3 and which makes me want it, they are: DivX Video playback BlueTooth add on (this is true gold for me) Ipod Video play back Ipod Integration play MP3 on DVD/CD 11 million POI Colour interface change Then the Price... Donno the other unit has what and not, please point me into the right direction

I found local authorized dealer that will sell the D3 for 1099 CND, very good deal IMO which is almost like the 900 US deal, im going to see this guy today and see what he can do, i'll keep u guys posted

sorry this may sound dumb, what what does it mean by "ground"? Also so there are 2 things that need to be ground? the yellow black wire will be taken out and put in the top empty hole, and the other end of the wire put to the "ground" and also the hand brake? sorry im a complete noob, please put me into the right place heh
