  1. Yes all the cables match up. N1 N2 and N3 brains all match up to eachothers headunits without using different cables
  2. And I figured out why when installing an N3 brain onto an N1 headunit that the "band" button no longer works, and to change the "band" options you have to use the "pause" button. I got rid of my N1 unit and got an entirely new N3 system, and the "band" button is in the same place as the "pause" button on this headunit. Kinda confusing, but I got it. SO if anyone out there plans on installing an N3 brain to an N1 headunit, this WILL happen to you, as some buttons are in different places when comparing the N1 headunit to the N3 headunit....
  3. I tried installing an N3 brain on the N1 headunit, and the problems that I had were that the pause button no longer worked while playing CDs, but when listening to the radio, the pause button changed to the "band" and also did not work anymore. I re-installed the N1 brain, and it worked fine then re-installed the N3 brain and still acted up, even AFTER I reset the unit. It'd be nice to know if anyone else was having this problem...
  4. I am looking for this CNDV-70MTP disc, west coast version (RED). I am sure there are many others here looking for this same disc. Problems is I REALLY dont want to spend $250 from Pionner just for the disc. I am very interested if someone has one for sale or knows where/how I can get one for a more reasonable price than what Pionner sells them for. Please let me know, I will reply fast. Thanks!!!!
  5. Ok this may be a complicated question but I would appreciate some help on this please. I have an N1 headunit and BOTH the N1 and N3 brains. I had the N3 installed because I heard the ipod interface is much more advanced than the N1. I received a 40MT 1.1 disc in the mail because I had ordered it before I received the N3 brain. My N3 brain was already in my car today, so I unplugged that brain, plugged in the N1 to reset the brain using the instructions I found here because it had been upgraded and locked out. OK SO I plugged the N3 brain back in and it now seems (as if) it has also been r
  6. OK, and now TODAY the "pause" button, instead of not doing anything, now all of a sudden started acting as the "band" button and switches from fm1, fm2, fm3 and am. The band button still does nothing. I plugged my N1 brain back in, and the pause and band buttons work normally. Unplugged the N1 and re-installed the N3 and still operating abnormally. Does anyone have anything they can help me with? Im sure there are some people with an N1 headunit and an N3 brain. Did this happen to anyone else or will a disc upgrade fix it????
  7. And also found out while driving home today that the pause button doesnt work either (When the screen is folded inside the headunit, it is the second button on the left on the front face). I find this really odd. From what I am reading the N1 headunit and N3 brain are fully compatible. Any feedback would be really appreciated. I really dont want to have to go out and try to find a N3 headunit...
  8. Hey everyone, this is my first post and I have spent lots of time reading about the N series units end enjoy learning about them. I have an N1 headunit and had the N1 brain, yesterday my buddy came over who works at a stereo shop and gave me an N3 brain (2 weeks old) because the previous owner had the headunit stolen and didnt need it anymore. Well I hooked the N3 brain up and everything seems to be working fine so far, but one thing I found kind of odd is that the "band" button on the headunit no longer works to switch from fm1 to fm2 and so on. However, the band button DOES work on my rem
