  1. Any of you guys who love yours wanna buy mine?
  2. I have the Pioneer cable, and its of terrible quality. The hooks to hold it connected do not exude all the way. Its a very shoddy connection (and of course the way they designed the USB cable is terrible, and causes a mess. I have a 350Z with fairly tight suspension and the smallest bump will jar the connection and cause it to skip for a microsecond. Take a close look at the hooks on your cable and see if they look correct. Mine don't, the left one sticks out about 2 mm, the right one maybe 1/2mm.
  3. This same thing happens to me! Every few weeks, I leave to work, and the damned thing tells me to make a random turn. I have no idea where its trying to take me, but I have to delete the route that I never entered! My only mod is that I deleted the beep sound files.
  4. Not happy at all. Unit locked again after a call this morning - it does it at least once a day. I counted 54 seconds this time.
  5. I agree with you here. I will never again buy something so expensive without spending a good deal of time actually using it in the store. Having said that I *did* play with the F700BT before I bought my F900BT, but there was no working GPS or XM or iPod so what I could do was limited. Still, I should have worked with it more.
  6. I completely empathize with you. I HATE my 900Bt. It froze for about 5 whole minutes after a phone call. And now I cannot get the time to set properly. Ever since Daylight Savings it refuses to set properly. The weird thing is that the clock works fine if I set it, then go to map. As soon as I go to a tuner it kicks back an hour. I loathe this piece of crap. And to think its worth half now from when I bought it. I know its risky to be an early adopter, but this is the worst I have ever been burnt. I think I am gonna go to Kenwood also, it just sucks its gonna cost me so much mo
  7. Actually I think threads like this are helpful. It sort of sets the level of expectation. Tons of people who are considering buying one read these, then decide they can live with the lag and bugs, etc, and then are perfectly happy, as in the case with jchiodo no doubt.
  8. You are right, I think this time it may have bitten Pioneer though. This unit should *still* be selling for over 1000 bucks - over 1200 for the Premier. Instead you can get them for half that. Pioneer surely must feel that in its pocketbook.
  9. I have a BB8330, and it sometimes does this. Its flaky as hell. BB8330 works perfectly on my Murano's OEM Bluetooth though.
  10. Will you cover the 600 or so dollars I will lose by selling it? If so then no problem!
  11. I am Amercian and I have never sued anyone, nor do I like the idea. Pioneer advertised a great product, I paid 1000 bucks for it, and it turned out to be terrible. How does that make me the bad guy for wanting A: My money back, or B: A good product?
  12. http://law.freeadvice.com/litigation/cl ... awsuit.htm Look at this - if a law suit can be filed over this, certainly the complaints about the AVIC -F series would hold water: http://www.zimmreed.com/lifetime-fitness-lawsuit.htm
  13. I think its kind of futile to argue this here, but those of you who insist that one cannot sue Pioneer may not have familiarity with a class action lawsuit. Take a look at the Sprint class action lawsuit going on right now over the ETF. I joined that suit. I don't expect to make any moeny, or maybe a few bucks (hardly what I spend in 2 weeks on my Sprint bill). But the point is that Sprint has been sent a clear message. I would not expect to make any money off of a class action lawsuit against Pioneer. I would be lucky to get 50 bucks compensation, much less have my money back.
  14. Too bad my AVIC-F900BT is now worth half of what I paid for it. I guess thats the risk I took being an early adopter. I got burned.
  15. Its just a matter of what we are willing to put up with. My ipod, blackberry work great. They were cheaper and do tons of things. I want the AVIC-F to work as well as they do. I dont think thats asking too much. I admit 2.0 *is* and improvement, but it was *really* bad before, now its just bad. Lets agree to disagree, it seems lots of people are split on this forum. I think the point of the lawsuit would be to get Pioneer to improve the unit, or at least give me my money back so I can get something that works as well as it should (in my reasonable opinion).
  16. Sounds like you do have the call hangup problem, but maybe its not as bad as mine. And you would have the SD and camera problem if you used them I imagine. How can you say you dont have it if you havent tried? I have used several high quality SD cards, and I have a 120 dollar Kenwood camera, so its not my components. You say you have zero reboots, then say you had 2. You say yours isn't sluggish, but only compared to before (implying it still may be sluggish, i.e. almost an instant). I think you are just being far too forgiving of the unit. You have the same problems I do, yo
  17. 1. System crashes and reboots occasionally and randomly. 2. System is sluggish and unresponsive to button presses. 3. After disconnecting from a phone call, system hangs for up to 2 minutes. 4. Back up camera takes 10 seconds to engage, meaning its useless to me and others who don't sit and wait in the car before backing out. 5. SD Card playback is still slow and often unresponsive. I could keep going. 2.0 is still bad.
  18. I like mine, but I have timed it many times at 10 seconds before it comes on. I usually start backing out quickly, and so its pretty useless for most things. Occasionally if I am parallel parking or in a tricky backup situation I will wait. My wife's OEM system in her Murano comes on within 1 second. I am really disappointed in my reverse camera.
  19. Blackberry 8330 (Sprint) connects fine. When calls are ended it often hangs for up to two minutes. No audio from AVIC-F900BT and no control response. Otherwise its ok.
  20. For 1000 bucks, the trivial problems are not so trivial. Every time the system locks up for a 60 seconds after I hang up makes me want to punch the screen out. I expect more for my 1000 bucks, and I expect more from Pioneer. They don't seem to really want to listen to our complaints, they throw us a small bone occasionally, but the system is really subpar. Not what I expected, and certainly not as snappy and clean as the videos I saw on Pioneers website before I bought it.
  21. I caught flak here for it before for mentioning it. But if someone plans on starting a class action lawsuit, I would jump on it in a heartbeat. I want my money back so badly.
  22. How is it news that the AVIC-F series has lots of problems? IMO its junk. I still hate mine.
  23. Hell, just tell him to put one in his wife's car for a month. I guarantee she will make sure he gets the damned thing working right!
