it looks as if its the same unit as the z series... question for anyone that can answer, if it is the same unit and all they are doing is changing the software/firmware in the hdd cant we just upgrade our original Z series?

I called pioneer to look into the purchase of a z series and I was told they are discontinued and the lady kind of insinuated there is a new model that will be release in the next 2 months. She told me to keep an eye out in the press room on their site. Any insiders have any info?

if you all have problems with the z why keep it? lol i am unsure of what double din head unit i want maybe some help would be nice. i have a 06 mustang coupe.

only thing i see that i like about the f series is the msn direct.. i broke my ipod and rather have the hdd right now and bigger screen any news of msn direct heading its way to the z line ?

I have an 06 mustang and looking to get something new. i was looking at the z series but i see the f is newer series any benefits to it? what makes it better.. i dont really use any phone or voice commands.. basicly all i used on my n2 which i took out now was music, and navigation and sat radio. sorry if they are stupid questions just asking..

last time i went to a "sick car meet" i was running from the cops... not bad i remember when i did just an intake on mine i gained around 20 something hp n torq i weigh in around 3600 with me in it. roughly 300 to the wheels.. but its different now... so catch me if u can.

ok takin a quick look at the upgrade ordeal i decided i cant do it but pioneer does have upgrade discs dont they?? which one would i need? and can i get away using 1 upgrade disc? anywhere where i can find a z1 for sale not used or refurbished?

ok so i scaned the forum alil i really like the z series i have had a n before but cant use the flip out due to location. so question is do the upgrade that some of you have done or just look for a z3. i can get a z2 from pc richards for 1200 per but he would drop down the price since i want 2 units. the upgrade consists of what? is there an external hard drive that you connect to the original unit? i looked breifly but didnt see what exactly the upgrade consisted of.. these units will go into a 06 mustang gt and a 08 f150 limited edition thanks alot...i would search mor
