Yes ground loop isolators kill your midrange sound quality, I've learned that firsthand.

Nevermind the problem came back, next I'll try grounding the RCAs to the head unit, and if that doesn't work send the head unit back to Pioneer.

The ground loop isolators fixed my problem, but I'm hoping to go back & actually find the ground loop itself to eliminate it instead of just cover it up.

I have the same problem, ended up using a ground loop isolator & that solved the problem...too bad it's just a band-aid fix.

There are a few on eBay, I'm looking around for the harnesses as well.
