I cant find my manual but they are all the same size here but some appear full screen and some dont. That is what I think is starnge

All of these are the same size but some arent full screen on the avic d3 . What am I doing wrong and how do I ensure that they will fit the entire screen?

When I move the mute (that is connected to ground)wire do I disconnect it from the other side of the harness that connects to the gmos?

I succesfully hacked my d3 thanks to this forum . However , grounding the mute switch causes my Onstar when initiated to shut my system off. I have the gmos box hooked up and my radio mute cable comes from that and is grounded. Has anyone fixed this? or is this an incorrect way of doing the hack?
