i tried it due to frustrations with my f500bt. i just lost the tts function for no reason. its just gone. i was hoping i can retrieve it from the eu update. maybe someone can back up their f500bt software/firmware so i can make copy of the tts function again. i already emailed pioneer and they wanted my unit back for repair. i just dont wanna send it out since i dont know the turn over when i can get it back.

the eu update for f500bt did not work with mine. i tried updating mine but once the update popped out, the first stage already gave me an error. FILE CHECKING ERROR. i leave it like that for about 5 mins and just stayed there. so for those curious, i guess the eu update is not applicable for the u.s version. fyi

here's what you do. you should arrange in your cell phone by the category of the phone number. let say bob, select as mobile, or home, or work in your cell phone. if this dont work, your phone is not totally supported by your gps unit. mine is the same, i have a contact with several phone numbers, if i command the call, the unit will tell me that the contact has multiple numbers and will make me choose among the list. the problem is, all the choices are general but in my cell phone, the numbers are assigned if mobile, home or work so my guess is my phone is not totally supported by my f500 un

I emailed pioneer about the problem with my unit and also asked them if there is an update coming. Unfortunately, they wanted me to send my unit to them for repair, but with regards to the update, there isn't one. this is so dissapointing.

I emailed Pioneer about the problem with my F500BT that the TTS functionality just dissappeared. I was asking them also if there is an update coming for this series. I got their reply back and wanted me to send back my unit for repair and also adviced that there is no update for the F500BT. Any suggestions F500BT owners.

hello guys...anyone here know if the TTS voice in the F500BT just a promo for a period of time. My unit is already 3 mos old and just today, I loose the text to speech voice. I went to the system setup then i chose the language and all i got left is just 3 voices, 1 english jason without tts and the other 2 are spanish and frances. what the heck!!!! any of you guys know how to get a TTS voice back? need help...thanks for your time.

anyone knows when the update for the f500bt coming? the other f series already had 2 updates and nothing for the f500. it is really frustrating using my f500 due to very slow gps acquring the signals and sometimes just hangs up. i was going to drive from a seminar and press home in my gps, waited minutes for a gps signal, since there was nothing i just drove off thinking it will acquire along the road. but before i got a gps signal, i already got loss in the area. I needed to booth the unit twice and finally got a signal around 15-20 mins after driving. any one of you also have this problem. i

Hi Fellow F500bt owners, Did you already noticed with your unit when you start your car in a basement parking or when ever you dont have any gps signal? How long does your unit acquire the gps signal once you are already in an open area. I was just asking since my unit takes about 5-10 mins or a lot of times just do not get signal at all and map frozes. In order for me to get the signal, I needed to reboot my unit. Everything works fine except for the map freeze up.

Hello guys...can anybody help me on how to remove my 06 nissan pathfinder center trim console? My f500bt is installed in there by cc but somehow its playing too much and I wanted to put a support on it. I dont want to bring it back to cc since i had to fix some parts that they did not put back right. Im looking for manuals in store but cant find any. Thanks for any replies.

Ive been driving around OC and newport using my f500bt but seems i never see any 3d landmarks yet and my unit is setup already with 3d landmarks. Maybe there is no 3d landmarks in these areas?

just out of curiosity, before i bougth the f500bt, i had my car installed an f90bt + all the necessary harnesses cuz i wanted everything works like the factory, but this store cannot have the factory installed dvd work. before they told me they cannot make it work, the f90bt was already in my dash replaced my old one. they wanted me to replace even my factory dvd and install another one. so i tend not to agree and had my old stereo put back. any of you guys have any idea if this f90bt worked with my bose system? thanks for the feedback.

mine too. i was driving on the 91w going to work and the unit sensed a traffic along the way and rerouted me automatically. i said this is nice, but it brought me to a closed street. when i bought this thing i thought everything is updated specially the map.

look in the msn direct coverage area and hopefully you have a very good signal over there. I always have a good signal but sometime I also get an unnamed station.

and here is one more, if you dont notice this. once you start your car, the map freezes as if it cannot receive a gps signal. others works tho, the phone, sd, msn. you gonna have to reboot it again. Mine is the same with you like when i switch off the car, then turn it on later, the gps will boot up where it left of, but this is the problem i noticed. sometimes it doesnt happens but happens more of the times and i just reboot the unit over again.

if your unit works with no problem, did you already solved the problem about when you start your car and the unit shuts off by it self and needed to turn on manually? If you do, can you share it please. This is the one problem i still cannot solve right now. thanks. what's that vorian's setup btw?
