  2. Well I just came back from my car. Put the SD with the unziped files to boot up in test mode. Windows does boot up in thest mode. but then it says copying... copies something and when I press the start button the bottom of the screen turns green and gets stuck any ideas? Thanks guys edit: btw, i tried to close the window with the ex in the right top corner but nothing happens...
  3. Thanks but that wasn't my question As far as i understand the software bypass requires grounding the parking brake wire. So far I have the parking brake wire grounded, but havent modified the .zip file. My question is if the warning that is comming up now will go away once i do the software modification tHANKS
  4. Ok so my installed says he grounded the parking brake Now when I start moving and I hit like 10 miles an alert comes up saying that there's an improper parking brake wire instalation is this going to go away once i do the software bypass? thanks
  5. Perfect Thank you. Really? You can tap at the Backup Lights cable in the front? That would be ideal. Bc right now my camera is working fine. wich means that it's powered and the video cable is run properly. All i need is to let the deck know when the car is in reverse.
  6. Ohhhh I think I finally understand. let me see.... So... We would have two wires going across the car. One brings the video from the camera to the F90BT the other one will be powering the camera right on the back of the truck, and continue all the way to the deck, to connect to the purple cable. wich will let the F90 know when the car is in reverse, bc It get's the info from the light that turns on when the car gets in reverse. is this correct? thanks a lot
  7. Yeah I meant front sorry I still don't understand what I need to tell him. The camera is working fine, it's just not coming on when I put the car in reverse wouldn't that get solved with connecting a wire to the f90 (not sure wich wire) and letting it know that the car is in reverse?
  8. So Basically He needs to run two cables to the back of the truck. One that carries video and another one that carries power?
  9. Yes the locks work, and the remote works too, just a range problem. Relarning the remote to the system would help? thanks
  10. Could this be my problem? I Just activated MSN Direct. Doesn't seem to connect either. I reseted the unit (soft reset) when it turned back on It sayd MSN DIRECT CONNECTING. but nothing happened. Could a hard reset help any of this? Thanks! Ale PS: Im sorry and very thankfull to everyone that is helping me. but it is crazy the ammount of issues that i walked out of circuit city with! Thanks again
  11. Hmmmmmm that's interesting. they did kill the battery while performing the installation... And I run it only for like 15 miles after that... Could that be the issue?
  12. That's the same problem I have! the difference is that I have an Envoy. Circuit City recommended buying another unit and trying again
  13. What are you saying Bucketman? Did you have the same issue?
  14. Yeah It was working perfectly. I messed around with it a lot before getting the update. Oh well, it's not a big deal. Given that I more likely going to use the HD radio Connection. But I'm the kind of guy that likes everything operational you know? So everybody agrees that it's the antenna? It's just weird, bc like I said it was working fine before the update. (
  15. I haven't activated it yet. But the thing is that right before the update it was working perfect. The second I did the update it stopped working. HD Radio doesn't use the antenna? and like I said from HD radio I can listen to regular radios. Thanks
  16. Hey man! thanks for your help. Then again I need to give him specific instrucctions about how to do it. So He has the camera installed. Power to the back of the truck then one wire to the front connected to the F90BT. So What he needs to do is to connect the reverse wire from the car? (where does he find that) to the purple cable (where is the purple cable) I have no idea how to do any of this, bc i need to go with something specific and get the tec to do it properly. Thanks again sir!
  17. Just So we don't create extra topics. Today I got installed My F90BT with a lot of little concerns, most of them I already posted a little while ago. One of them is that my Backup Camera does not come on automatically when I put the car in reverse I have a boyo VTL420 and I can only see the camera when I hit "CAMERA" but not automatically. I believe the guy that installed it (circuit city) Only run the video cable all the way to the front and connected the power to the back of the truck. Is this the reason? He is telling me that the camera is not a Backup Camera, it's a Rear View camera a
  18. Like I said on other topic, today I got installed an F90BT on my GMC ENVOY XL 2003 SLT, BOSE AND ONSTAR. I know for a fact that today they didn't touch anything under the steering wheel. bc that part was done other day and the keyless was working perfect. but today after getting the unit installed I have to be 2 feet from the truck for it to work. Any ideas? Is it possible that any component is giving out interference? thanks a lot Alejandro
  19. Hey guys. I got a F90BT installed today in my GMC ENVOY XL 2003 BOSE AND ONSTAR. I got HD radio in there. everything was working fine until I updated to 2.0. then My AM and FM radios inputs only give out static. but When I use HD radio imput, I can hear all the radios fine. Is this bc the new firmware routes all the radios to the HD input if you have it? or something got messed up? thanks a lot! alex
  20. Any idea if your solution would work for a PAC SWI-PS ? Im talking about the solution you posted here. I have a GMC ENVOY XL 2003 BOSE AND ONSTAR. And I'm having a very similar issue with the SWI-PS. Also I have a PAC module for interfacing the F90BT Thanks a lto Alejandro
  21. Hey Guys, I just got installed the F90BT today in my GMC ENVOY XL 2003 SLT, WITH ONSTAR AND BOSE. According to the installers they couldn't get the SW to work, they programmed it like 10 times and everytime they started the truck the programming would go to hell. Now it's working but all the buttons are assigned to various things like volume down is volume up. preset is volume down. and Band is change preset forward... Oh and my AC button changes the band.... Any ideas what could it be? they're blamming it on the unit. Could it be? or is just a programming error? thanks!
  22. Ok, I finally took my car to circuit city to get it going, I had all the Items listed before. they couldnt make it work. They ended up telling me that they think that the problem is that i have a BOSE system with ONSTAR and that the GMOS-04 doesnt support the bose system, that i need to get OS-2BOSE they worked on the car for hours without luck. I would like to hear some opinions about this if you guys can. before I go and buy the OS-2BOSE Thanks a lot Alejandro
