I removed my F500bt front off. Let's just say it isn't working at the moment.

F500bt Pioneer cable Album art: IPod Video 30 gig = pixelly Iphone 8 gig = crap Most of my album arts are custom, but above 300x300 and no bigger than 800x800. The resolution on the IPod/Iphone themselves are very crisp and clean.. I think it's more of a Pioneer thing. All I know is, the Avic output kinda sucks.. even for my movies.

Yeah, I have a PAC turbo-1 that helps with the low sound too. It works.

I'll be getting an iphone this week and i'll let you know about the video playback. I got from a fellow member (blu) that the harness battery wire (yellow) is to be attached to a constant power source so when you turn on the car, the unit comes on automatically while the cigarette adapter powers off your car. I hate the wiring myself. i want to drop kick it and there are too many freaking wires for a portable unit. 3rd, i've never had that problem... maybe there was an incorrect wire installed? i think you have to ground your brake wire from your second question.

=/ that sucks man. is there an antenna option to add to it? then again, it shouldnt be having issues like that especially during emergencies!

I used to use a usb drive and it is very laggy sometimes so i just bought an ipod video 30 gig. i have a program called ImToo which will convert the videos automatically. it has many settings for you to choose 320x240 or 640x480. i'd recommend h.264 also. there is a border because of the widescreen setting but not too much.

True, plus you can use the voice feature which you can't use with the SD. Movies are ok on SD/USB but make sure it's the right resolution. I'm running a 16 gig USB drive on mine. Getting an IPOD is so much more convenient.

Someone with a 500 did the software and grounding mod...

Cool, good review. Have you thought about getting the PAC Turbo-1? I think that should help with the low level sound.

=) I'll be putting the F500bt in my FX45 stock screen location... I think it's a really good deal.

Awesome. How's the sound quality? Did you use an auxiliary to play in your oem radio?

Oh well, at least it doesn't take forever to load on mine. Not a problem for me.
