  1. I just read that the upgrade disc will disable the video playback while the car is in motion, is this true? Here is the quote. Disclaimer: The upgrade navigation software will give you upgraded maps, points of interests, etc.; however, you will also disable video playback while the vehicle is in motion due to a software/firmware upgrade by Pioneer. Thanks, Les
  2. Thanks for the help. Yes I used the solid blue wire and moved it in the harness to the open spot and grounded the end. Are you saying to tap into the blue/white wire with the remaining end of the blue wire that goes into the factory wiring?
  3. I just completed a bypass of my D1 unit by using the A-Ant lead and moving it over then grounding it. The bypass worked perfect, however, my FM reception is no longer as good as it was and I get no AM reception at all. I was assuming that the lead was for a "automatic antenna" Do 4runners use the wire to for some sort of amplified antenna? Thanks.
  4. I have actually been able to get mine working again. I'm not exactly sure what solved it, but two things took place at the same time so either one could have been the fix. First I upgraded to the latest software version (CNDV-60MP) and at the same time I managed to get to the highest level of tech support at XM and they said they will look at all possibilties on their end. But in the end, it did start working about a half hour after I used the new disc.
  5. I'm going to be doing a post-install bypass. The original install was done at a stereo shop. I was wondering what is the trick to getting the A-ANT lead wire out of the harness to use as the bypass lead. I don't want to remove the entire unit so I may be doing much of this by feel. Does it simply pull out with a tug or is there a clip or tab that has to be pressed. Thanks
  6. So here's the latest. Last night driving from Hollywood to the San Fernando Valley around 11pm, all traffic flow functions worked perfectly, including nearby traffic events. Drive to work this morning and nothing, dead again....?????? It has to do with the system information in the area, I'm almost 100% convinced it's not a hardware issue, or even a software issue.
  7. I was talking to Pioneer tech support and going over several issues. Basically, everything points to a Navtraffic issue in the L.A. basin. Naturally, no one at XM will awknowledge a problem, so I'm back to square 1.
  8. I have had the same problem in the L.A. area. XM tech support is useless. It seems to me that it's either an issue with the L.A. based navtraffic system or those of us having this problem have an outdated firmware issue or something. If anyone has any info please Help!
