unfortunately, my avic d-2 install didnt go too well....

Where in So Cal are you located? I was quoted $150 to install the D1 and the SWI-PS in Long Beach and then quoted $150+$60 for the PAC in San Gabriel. So i guess $150 is about average. -
THAT is what i need to do. For now i am just using a clip board to cover up the navi. Thanks for the idea.

Is the disc scratched? Mine was getting that message then I bought an authentic West V.1.0 on eBay and put it in and it worked. For some reason I had to slide the disc in and then press the reset button.
