  1. I'm confused on if my vss is working. If I go to the vehicle dynamics screen it will show my speed increase and decrease. If i go to the 3d calibration screen where it displays connection status, speed pulse, the distance works but the speed pulse stays 0, and the status say's "simple hybrid". Now if i read the book it says simple hybrid means it isnt hooked up to the vss. but if it isnt, why does my vehcile dynamic screen show my speed?? im confused!
  2. that worked. I set it to my current route only. much better, thank you
  3. thanks, seems like i tried that before and they didnt go away immediatley but i never turned the car off and back on before reverting back. I'll give it another try.
  4. I checked the book and can't find where to get rid of the white dot that is left on the map when you travel. Am I missing something? My maps roads look like pac man.
  5. i don't think all cc suck. just my local cc. :-)
  6. just a few days. I'm not one to get over stressed about the little things and am getting used to it now but it still seems a little over kill to say the least.
  7. does anyone know if theres a way to remove the disclaimer on the nav when you use it for the first time at startup? It's getting pretty annoying to hit "OK" everytime I start my car. I feel like im back in grammer school.
  8. I had my D2 installed today and it took circuit city 9 hours. After it was all done and I got home I found three screws on my floor board. I found where two went and the third I have no clue. To top that off they didnt put my dash back on correctly so I get to go back tomorrow AGAIN. Once I got done picking up their pieces and cussing out loud I started on the bypass. I took dash off (not the jacked up stearing dash I have to take it back over) and found the harness. I stole a black ground wire from an old harness, shoved it in to the empty pin on the D2 Harness, sliced the parking brake
  9. so you have to have the ignition on and the avic-d2 running while you do the ground.....correct.....i dont want to screw this up lol.
  10. mines being installed sunday. what did you use to fill in the gap on the xterra cntrylvr79?
  11. he may have an ipod. the bypass will allow nav features and a/v playback while driving. curious, but where did you get the spare wire from? I plan on doing the bypass next week. Also, did you ground to metal or did you get a wire "loop" thingy to ground with?
  12. I've been thinking long and hard about how I want to hook-up my IPod Video to my car. I went to the Local Macintosh store and saw the RoadShow hook-up you posted above. It is in deed a nice gadget but when it comes down to it, I think it will be much easier to buy the Pioneer interface box for my D2 and run a a/v separate. The Only problem is that the interface for the cd-ib100 is slow to change between artist, but i can't imagine running a 3 foot long ipod adapter to where I can reach it (and stay safe while driving) and it look descent.
  13. before I buy this I'd like to confirm it's what I need. Sorry to beat the horse but this cord---- Allows you to watch IPod Video (with or without the bypass) Allows you to listen to IPod Music (regardless of the bypass) Doesn't allow charging (whats the solution for this) If this is the case it's worth 50 bucks because no one else has it. I could care less about the IPod interface on my D2. Only thing is that I have a IPod 30gb Video. I'm not sure the cable will work.
