  1. Anyone try to modify the audio chimes (church bell, dog barking, etc...) in the D series? I think the ones that come on the nav disk are not so great.
  2. How do I get the new folders/files on the iso image if I have already have it on my computer?
  3. What hex editor are you using? Is it as simple as editing the .pim file and replacing it with a new one? Which folder on the DVD contains the icons?
  4. Yes, about 75% of the icons are now gone. Interestingly the names and channel numbers of most of the stations are the same like "90's on Nine", but the icons don't work anymore. If anyone know a walk through on how to reprogram the names and icons please post it.
  5. Just successfully made the east disk first try. Used a Memorex dual layer disk and "Burnaware free" to create it.
  6. Don't get me wrong, I knew the unit would not be competition quality. I just realized how those features that are incorporated into Pioneers high end single CD units can be missed. I am surprised that they could not incorporated some the auto tuning features into ANY of their nav systems previous or current. Personally I am still satisfied but it just takes some getting used to. Maybe one day I can save up for a external unit like the Rockford Fosgate 3 sixty.2
  7. Well I finally got my D3 all installed last week. So far I am happy with it. The navigation is great. However I have to say that I am a little underwhelmed as far as the sound quality goes. My previous head unit was a Premier DEH-P980BT. The sound quality on that unit was amazing. I was used to the auto time alignment and auto EQ functions to tune my system. I also noticed a big jump in background noise / alternator whine with the AVIC. Anyone have the same experience? Could be do to the increase in ground wires I had to install.
  8. It should have just been a wire tap that was supplied with he pioneer wire, no fuse resistor from what I recall. Anyway, I know it is possible to run a wire all the way back to the actual reverse light. I was just hoping to find it at the dashboard area.
  9. Can someone help me with my install? I have everything set up except 2 wires. One is for the reverse signal and one is for the speed sensor. I have a 2001 Honda Prelude with a 5 speed transmission. Anyone know where to get to these wires? Or can someone point me to where I could find this information? Thanks.
