I tried a hitachi 40 gb drive -- reboots after 15-30 minutes fujitsu 80 gb drive -- same (sorry, I forgot to write down the models on them) Tried Toshiba 120 gb drive (mk1234gax) -- drove around the city all day saterday, no reboots at all. Works perfectly !!! ................. Haven't had a chance to expand the music partition yet, just wanted to see if the drive will work with the unaltered z2bypassed image first.
  2. After 2 hours of driving, so far so good. Still got my fingers crossed........................
  3. I had a Z1 installed by pros also and had the same problem. It turned out that they forgot to plug in the antennae. My '06 Honda Pilot had a different type of plug for the antennae. It's a connector not the conventional headphone jack type of plug. You might have the same situation. You may need some type of converter or harness, whatever you call it. That might be what he said he needed to order. Hope this helps and good luck ............
  4. I also have the same problem. Bootup seems fine without any brake message. After 15-20 minutes of driving, improper brake connection message pops up and unit does not bypass anymore. After resetting the unit, it's good for about 10-20 minutes then the same happens. I think it may be the second wire also. I had trouble getting the cell mute wire out of connector so I cut it, stripped it and stuck it into the hole in connector 2. That may be the prob? Maybe the vibration from driving caused the wire to lose contact somehow? I just tried again to get the cell mute wire out and finally got the wir
