  1. Yep - it was that easy. I was pretty sure I tried that when I first got everthing hooked up and it made the screen black. But it's working now - thanks! Maybe I had to turn it off, then back on like your solution.....
  2. I'm hoping Garett can help me with this one... About 4 years ago, I installed a Z2 in my 02 Lincoln LS. I installed your upgraded Z3 maps/hard drive, did the bypass, etc. Everything worked great for the next 3/ 1/2 years. I removed the system in March and just reinstalled it in my "new" 06 Lincoln LS. I had to change some of the wiring, but it was pretty similar to my original install. My problem is the rear view camera. When I start the car, the first thing that comes up on screen is the rear view as if the car is in reverse. I never get the navigation loading screen. And to g
  3. Not sure how the Pioneer 4000 works, but it sounds to me like you have the video from your Zune hooked to the rear camera input on your Head unit. When I put my car into reverse and the rear camera view pops up it gives me the "image may appear reversed" message. Try plugging your video into another input like Aux 1 or Input 1? EDIT - yeah, what Garrett said
  4. Yeah mine does the same thing and I agree - it's annoying! I looked but haven't been able to find a workaround. My guess is that it defaults to the TV/off so if you were to unplug it and then didn't have a TV around it would be hard to set it back to the built in screen without being able to see what you're doing...
  5. I just wanted to add my "Thanks!" to Garrett for his HDD... I finally installed it and everything worked out great!
  6. Yeah, me too.... I actually thought mine was broken when I first tried to use it. That was a mistake on their part I think - it's way more obvious to have the center button function the same as it does on the Zune itself...
  7. Finally installed my Z2 I got for Christmas! Looks great - can't believe I waited this long to get one of these... Anyway, I've been reading a lot of posts on here before I did the installation and I've seen a couple of threads about installing Zunes but none of them (that I saw) mentioned the Soundgate products: http://www.soundgate.com/index.php?requ ... eferrer=1& and if you want a wired remote: http://www.soundgate.com/index.php?requ ... eferrer=1& I think these are much easier than using the dock idea but of course this is more expensive.... I just thought I throw anothe
  8. Thanks Garrett - I was hoping that was the answer. I figured it might have something to do with the merger like you posted earlier
  9. I'm new to the forums, but I've been reading a lot as I researched all the parts I need to install my Z2 (coming soon). Am I correct in understanding this thread that the GEX-P920XM has a different appearance on the Z2 than the the GEX-P10XMT? I just ordered the P920XM because the XM NAV Traffic doesn't really have any information on my area. Can you post a picture of the P10XMT screen so I can see the difference? thanks
