  1. The artwork needs to be embedded in the music file (mp3, AAC, wma) for it to display. The folder.jpg is not looked at by any of the Pioneer units.
  2. The software in the unit seems to only be looking at the art thumbnail, rather than the full art picture on some iPod models. I have a 3rd generation photo that shows artwork just fine on the AVIC-F90BT, but with my iPod touch v2 it looks very distorted, or pixelated. I doubt there is a fix for this, at least not without a firmware update from Pioneer.
  3. It is an older iPod Photo, with no video capability. The Apple model is M9829LL/A. But it is the one the works great with the AVIC-F series as far as the album art goes. It is my brand new Touch 2G that has pixelated artwork on the AVIC-F, but looksfine on the Touch display.
  4. I too have several iPods. First let me confirm that I have used most of my own CD cover scans so I know they are all at 500x500 or better. My older 30G iPod Photo displays the artwork fine in both the small and expanded thumbnails on an AVIC-F90BT. However my brand new iPod Touch 2G looks terrible in all sizes, small or large on the same head unit. However I do not believe this is a Pioneer problem specifically, as a friend of mine has the Alpine IDA-X001 head unit and the exact same differences between the Photo and Touch happen on it. Looks like something in the iPhone/Touch firmware is
  5. Have any of you found a way to remove the AV source icons for sources that don't exist in the system on the AVIC-F series? For example, if you have XM, but not Sirius, to have the Sirius icon disappear. Same for the HD radio, Aux 1/2, EXT, etc.
  6. The AVIC-F are capable of showing CD Text in the detail box. The text of the title is also displayed at the bottom of the navi screen if you expand the source info.
