  1. NEWS FLASH!!! It seems that if you have a used D3, it is very important to reset the factory settings for this mod to work. I had the same problem trying to do the video hack mod. If you keep getting the "no pictures file" message, reset the factory settings, then it should read the cd fine. Thank God I was only wasting CD-Rs and not DVDs trying to get this to work.
  2. ^^^^^^^^ I got the same problem. I've tried it 3 times and still get the "no PICTURES file" message. I'm doing it on Vista with a drag and drop to the drive window that auto formats the cd. Any help would be appreciated.
  3. I don't know if it's been said here yet, so I'll give my advice anyway. If you buy your D3 used, you may have to reset it to the factory setting to make this work. I tried it several times, and still got the "brake wrong" message, until I reset the unit. Also you really have to make sure the mute wire is all the way in the wiring harness. A super small screwdriver (as mentioned here) works great.
