  1. So, do you use the same test mode file from the F-series to access the file system? Any ideas as to whether or not this will work on the X920 when it's released?
  2. It's been a while since I have used my F90BT and I am still waiting to see whats going on with a possible Z120 before I buy the Z110. In the meantime, I am using a POS Kenwood DNX8120. Do the Pioneer units not have a "sync with nav" option for the dimmer? If not, I guess I've finally found something that the Kenwood does better than Pioneer. I was thinking that the F90BT map turned to night mode at sunset like the Kenwood does and dims the screen as well... But like I said, It's been a while. This would be very annoying for me as I don't use any of those crappy interfacing devices and I would
  3. Yes, yes, yes and I'm not sure. First things first... Do you use Onstar? If not, things get a lot simpler and less costly. The OnStar module does control your chimes and turn signal clicks in addition to OnStar. I have not missed either of these things. If you're not interested in using OS, there is no need for the retention module which is going to be an additional $175. If you choose not to use OS, there is a bundle of blunt cut wires below and to the left of the HU. A little bit of a chore to get to, but not too bad. All the 12v, acc, and ground wires you'll need are here. Tape the unused o
  4. BTW... Has anybody tested the CD-R55 or R99 with the WRI-P? I'm not really concerned with the VR functionality as I can use my steering wheel to activate that, and it appears from previous posts that you can assign a button on the remote to handle that. I whould like to know if the number keys on these remotes work as I frequently use direct tune for xm. Also, how well does the d-pad on the remotes work?
  5. Depending on the year of your GM vehicle, there should be a bundle of blunt cut wires somewhere below and to the left the head unit. Following is a quote out of the GM electrical manual for my 08 Silverado 2500HD: Installation Instructions — 12 Volt Accessory Power Supply 1. Disconnect the battery negative (-) cable at the battery. The negative (-) battery cable must be disconnected before the positive wiring lead is connected to the power accessory. 2. Locate the power supply harness under the instrument panel near the center of the vehicle. The wire bundle consists of six bl
  6. is there any way to get the compas to display in degrees instead of cardinals? Also would like to know how to get the altitude/elevation displayed. I'm really new at this; just got my f90bt the other day and have already updated to firmware v. 2.00 and done the software override for dvd viewing. Beyond that, I'm still an idiot. noticed a post in the thread that gave simple code for doing this, but how will i know what it looks like before uploding it to my hu? which bmp's to use?
  7. can you make a chevrolet one with black bg?
