  1. with the key on engine off , ipod plugged in , volumne at 0 - 2 , i have almost no noise. i cant hear it , my wife says she can hear a slight noise. same thing with the homemade cd and a store bought cd. i do play my music loud , probably f_cked up my hearing somewhat (lol). just wondering why would you use the high level wires instead of the rca's? seems like more of a pain running the wires than rca cables . i'm no installer or expert in car audio , just someone who likes music and bought a P.O.S. head unit like the rest of you. hope you get it figured out. have a good one. fonjo
  2. i hardly ever listen to cd's. i use my ipod. i didnt think about that. maybe its the cd? i'll try and put a cd in this afternoon and see if there is a noise.i'll post what i find. good or bad!! lol james
  3. ok then have you ever used the rca's from the deck before? i have ZERO noise coming from my system after i grounded the rca's. i have not used the high level output wires so i dont know if this is the reason for your problem. have you tried using the rca's to the amp yet? also have you ALWAYS had this noise?
  4. yeah i had this noise to after i moved my amps around. the pioneers have pico fuses inside the deck that will blow if there is ANY spike sent threw them. this happens when you unplug the rca's at the amp and reinstall them . the rca pin could breifly touch the shield on the amp and you wont even know it. after a lot of searching and buying some EXPENSIVE rca's (witch didnt work) i found the ground wire solution. it worked for me.drove me insane. lol james
  5. try grounding the rca's that go to the amp. solder a wire on the shield of the rca plug and ground that to the deck. should make that hiss go away.

    F700 Movies

if you have an iphone or touch you can download any movie or video and watch it on the F700.
  7. go into your settings on the iphone and find the country select menu. change your setting to austraila, and resync your phone with the headunit. The Australia listing's for phone #'s doesn't have ( ) and - so by changing the country the head unit will reconize the phone numbers.
  8. i'll take a good shot of the car this weekend and post it to this thread. thanks, by the way do you know if you can change the background on any of the otherscreens?
  9. notice how when we are talking no one is insulting each other. you gave me your advice on the system and i will use it. i never petended to know all or much about this unit, i just had some questions
  10. also i wasnt trying to complete the bypass so you can watch videos while driving. when i hooked it up like the book says i lost my nav. and system settings and phone pairing. they were grayed out. after i moved the wire i can now access these icons. and get into the settings
  11. again i am not trying to be an ass. i thanked you for your answers on the questions i had and i treated you with respect. i am refering to the others that posted.
  12. this is what i am talking about. i looked at the thread, and everyone jumped on this guy like he was an idiot. he asked a question. he didnt ask to be put down or called names. he wanted to know if it is going to work or not. thats what a forum is about, you need answers about something, you look on a web site that has information about it and people that have the answers reply. this isnt high school. no one needs to prove anything.
  13. are all of you guys teachers? proper way to spell blah blah blah. proper way to talk blah blah blah. bite me
  14. well at least your the first person to explain things. i wasnt trying to be difficult. i just had some simple questions and all i got were smartass replys. thank you for clearing those questions up for me.
  15. the master tech. patch on my uniform is all the credibility i need. and dont be such a dumbass when it come to calling things what they are. DUMBASS
  16. to bad you opened yours and stuck your foot in it. i DID ask a certain question and you did not answer it . look at the first post, i asked what does the stop nov. hack actually do?
  17. the single wire to the switch has batt. voltage. when you depress the e-brake the switch opens not grounds. all this does is turn on the light. i have been mechanic for 15 years and know my way around car electrical systems
  18. no you guys are wrong. not all the cars out there are 2 wire systems for the e brake switch. learn your electrical before you post stupid replys
  19. well thanks for nothing. just so you know, i have had the unit for about 4 months, i have played around with all the system settings, nav. settings and phone settings. i have used the unit and t have been to almost all the different threads on this forum that pertain to the different questions i have and they don't all explain what the thing they are trying to hack did in the first place. what i have run across is a bunch of stupid remarks from dumbass people that think they know everything about this unit and everyone else that has a question i sooooo stupid that they don't know shit. try u
  20. ok i still dont think you understand my question. i don't know much about the unit except for the stereo and music part. i understand pretty much all there is to know about set up,amps, crossovers,eq settings things like that. my question revolves around my lack of knowledge on what the button do to begin with and why you want to change them. i hope you understand where i am coming from. thanks (and i am not trying to be an asshole)
  21. i understand Why people are doing the mods. my question was what are they trying to accomplish by doing the mods? what are they trying to get rid of? what are they trying fix? what does the stop nav do? questions like that.
  22. i had the same problem everyone else is having with the grayed out icons on nav and system settings. i did the bypass, all the wires are where they are supposed to go, and still the same problem, until i figured out that IF YOU HAVE A VEHICAL WITH A SINGLE WIRE TO THE BRAKE do not connect the lite green wire to it. instead ground it out to the bracket the switch is connect to. and this little problem goes away. thought i would let everyone know. thanks
