do you have any suggestion for a cable?

I have the same problem with my 80GB 5th gen, really disappointed to hear it still happens with 3.0 My ipod firmware is up to date and I am using the Pioneer cables. Wonder what else we could try? Do you have this problem if you connect the iPod after system startup, or only when you start the car/boot the system with the ipod already attached? only have the problem when i start the car. when i disconnect and reconnect its fine. however, lately my right speaker has been cutting off and making noises when i change tracks. has anyone had a problem with their ipod making noise from the speakers while changing tracks? This only happens when I change songs manually. Im not sure if its the hack or not. Im using version 1 that idt put out. I turned the volume down on the buttoms when using the knob so it doesnt make that annoying beep. Any help appreciated. This never happened with my 2.0 update.

There is a annoying sound coming from the speakers when I change tracks while listening to the ipod. It only occurs when the track is being changed. Anyone else have this problem? It did not happen before the 3.0 update.

what ipod are you using? Have you got a drop on startup since?

does anyones ipod work correctly. My ipod 5th gen video wont connect to the unit sometimes after i start the car. I would have to unplug and plug it back in for it to work. This is after the 3.0 update. 3 yrs and pioneer could not fix this issue? Anyone have a generation ipod that doesnt have this probleM? Im thinking of selling mine and getting one that actually works with the unit correctly

you have to go to av settings or av sounds( forgot which one) and change input one to ipod.

do you have by any chance hacked your unit? I have the 3.0 update and followed the instructions you have posted above. Is that all I need? I like the 2d view of your map with the big roads. Thanks in advance IDT.
