  1. My original install used the Chrysler C2A-CHY2 harness. The installer wired all cables on from the pioneer to the harness. I pulled out the 700 disconnected the back connections and just plugged them in the back of the radio with the exception of the USB AV cable. The unit, mic and gps antennae worked perfect. The VSS wire was included in the Chrysler BUS. It was a 20 minute swap because I did it in the dark by myself. It was stupid simple. Now the reason my install may be different is since I am installing in a Jeep Wrangler.
  2. I also just did the upgrade since I broke the screen on the 700BT. My upgrade consisted of pulling out the old radio, adding the USB and Aux cable. The old plug had all the connections on it and I plugged it in. Worked perfectly. Never thought it would be that easy. System is so much better than the 700
  3. I cracked my touch screen and was wondering how hard it was to replace on the AVIC-F700BT. I have searched this forum and there is no step by step instructions. The ones on the sticky stop after step 1. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. Phone upgrade due and was trying to find a new phone. I was looking at the rival and wanted to see if anyone has one working with the the Avic F series. Some people with the D series and the Z series are having problems getting it to connect. Not sure if the Avic F series shares the same Bluetooth components. Any help would be appreciated.
  5. Long story short. I put it into test mode and it let me enter unlimited pass codes. I got it on the 5th try. It did not lockup the unit. Thanks for all the advise.
  6. Yes I am stupid. I forgot my password to the anti Theft system Does anyone know how to reset the password???

  10. I figured you could do it with a double pair. Guess I will use business phone M-F and personal on the weekend. Thanks for all the help.
  11. I was wondering if you can have 2 cell phones connected to the Avic 700BT at the same time?? I have a work and personal cell phone and would like to have them both connected at the same time. Not sure if this is supported or not...
  12. I have an Inno and I use the AV2 jack on the front with Aux cable. Much better than the fm transmitter.
  13. Hopefully some one can answer this simple questions. I read the manual and searched but cannot figure out that when I am driving the map show half gray and half green. I thought it may be township lines, county lines, homes vs business lines and all these are incorrect. Hopefully one of you can toss me a bone and let me know what the different colors mean...
  14. Be careful...I just had the Avic 700BT installed in my 2008 Jeep Wrangler and it said I needed that same adapter. When installing the radio this adapter did not fit and needed a different adapter. Had to go find one on short notice. Luckily Best Buy had the correct harness.
  15. I read the manual but it was no specific. I will do that. Thanks again...Saved me much heartache
  16. Thanks...Wasn't sure since they were calling it an AV input Wanted to be sure
  17. I have a Pioneer Inno XM receiver. Currently it is hooked up via Aux Jack on my OEM Receiver. I am thinking about the F700BT and it has a front input but they are calling it an AV Jack. Just want to verify that it also functions as an AUX jack. Any help is appreciated.
